Oh yea i allready got that achivement took me like 2 hours to make anyways if any1 want to go and get the achivement on my world add me on xbox AgentX44Jobo ^^ HF!
There's three uses for gold, for me. Personally, I am always in short supply.
1 - The most useful is to use it for powering rails. setting up an elevated monorail system is awful nice from getting to one end of the world to the next in seconds. For that you need beaucoup gold if you want to move at top speed.
2 - They are also useful to make Watches. If you are like me and die by lava frequently, you lose your watch pretty regularly.
3 - For a purely vanity (and non-practical) reason, I line my treasure vault with gold bricks. That takes A LOT.
Now Lapis Lazul I think is even more useless. If you don't use it for dye, it has no use. I have chests overflowing with these gems that are worthless.

Pretty much all it's used for. Gold is probably the most realistic thing in Minecraft. It sucks in the game as much as it oes in real life. It's really only good for decoration, money, and rails.

But that weapon will do pretty good damage for the 4 swings it lasts for....
