So I play Minecraft on my dad's plasma HDTV (because I have no TV for my room), and on my birthday, i'll be getting an HDTV with a budget of $200. I am either gonna get an LCD or plasma, but how would I prevent hotbar burning without having to take constant breaks?
Why? Because it's funny watching you get so defensive about nothing. I don't think I'm the one who need be relaxing here.
If you would like to continue flaming at me please do so via PM so you don't drown this poor guys thread in tears.
P.S. "kido" = ROTFL
I just enjoy watching flamers like you get shut down on your own argument, thanks for giving me the satisfaction of proving your a mindless idiot. Maybe next time you'll have some more luck. Adios

What are you talking about? You came in here saying nobody knows what they are talking about while in-turn repeating what others have said?? I'm pretty sure your the flamer as you came here looking to argue... I guess if you need to find self satisfaction on the internet then by all means feel like you have accomplished something, just as long as your going to shut up i'm happy.
Ignore the above.
HERE'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW, REALLY:
There's the "old" plasma tv's, and there's the "new" plasma tv's.
The old ones had problems with burn in, etc. Plasmas also run quite warm (my cat's loved it). However, the new ones are different (you probably can't find any of the "old" ones being sold anymore). They have options you can set in the menu to move the picture around several pixels in each direction (you won't be able to tell it) every few minutes to fight burn in, and if you do get burn in, there's usually a "burn in fix" option in the menu to take care of it. (For instance, LG plasmas have a "White Wash" option).
SO, don't concern yourself with "burn in" with the new plasmas. They've been improved quite a bit from the "old days".
That said, would I get one?
No.
Get a LED. As long as it's 1080p, it won't matter, nor will you notice, what the "refresh rate" is, plus LED's are the latest technology (nuff said).

All you do is misread and falsely accuse people of saying things they clearly did not say! I said everyone who says plasmas suck for gaming don't know what there talking about, and are just trolling. I actually came here giving advise as to what the OP should do with a plasma to prevent IR or burn in, WTF did you do? you even blatantly admitted in your last response that you enjoy watching me get defensive.. so who's flaming and trolling here? : O !!!
Anyways..I'm starting to think you've got a trisomy of your 21st chromosome... That being said im kind of ashamed i even tried to indulge myself in a conversation with you.
