ive look EVERYWHERE and still have not found clay

_{I've found clay on a couple of worlds.}

As a friend of mine puts it:

"The Clay is a lie"

"65805908" is a good seed to get clay on. It's right in the center of the map. Look for the square lake.

seed 888 you will spawn directly in front of it. if you don't look for a beach and look on the edges. their is also a mob spawner on the surface just over the mountain.

There is also clay in the tutorial. In the northwest corner of the map.

I don't think thats necessary since this is the minecraft xbox forum. Why come here to talk about the pc version?

I'm pretty sure there is no clay on the world I have. Any clay will usually be on the world level in plain sight, grey sand near a coastline. It only spawns on the earth/sand level (not sandstone or stone). It CAN exist just below the surface, but in most cases, you should see it near water without having to mine at all.

A good idea is to hop into the tutorial world, just so you can differentiate the clay and stone blocks. It would have saved me a lot of "OHH, is that clay??? Awww, no its stone" disappointments.

Another thing to keep in mind, if you are playing Easy or Peaceful, is that the first time you come within sight of a new kind of block, a tutorial window will appear telling you about it. When in doubt (ie its underwater and hard to see if this is stone or clay), look for that window to appear if you have never found any before.

Because on pc you can hit f3 in 1.6 and go to where x and z are the same and theres clay but on xbox theres no f3

Wait for the BUG FIX update before generating a new world. JMO. Clay is one of the fixes...... You won't get much on any seed until then. Right now, Clay is more rare than Diamond and simply doesn't exist in some worlds.....

I'm pretty sure there isn't a single block of clay in my world. And that's a shame because I really like my world. Clay would have made it perfect.

Ahhhh..... I think now I'm starting to understand why folks talk about the computer version on this particular forum now. I really was puzzled why that was, but I can see how this would lead to that.

Ive only found 4 clay and I've completely explored my map.

The clay fix is one of the fixes I'm looking forward to the most! I have searched and searched for it. I'm sad about starting a new world just for clay though. :-/

You won't have to in the next update, any un-explored land in your world can contain clay in the next update. So if your map is fully completed, your screwed.
