In some games the save data can be moved from one profile to another. The procedure, for games that support it, goes something like this.
Given two profiles, GamerA and GamerB, with GamerA owning SaveWorldA
Prepare a SECOND Xbox storage device (aka USB drive key under Dashboard->Settings->Memory)
Power off, then on the XBox
Sign-in as GamerA
Copy SaveWorldA from hard drive to USB drive key from step 1 (under Dashboard->Settings->Memory)
Sign-out as GamerA (completely)
Sign-in as GamerB
Copy SaveWorldA from USB drive key to hard drive.
You will be asked if GamerB wants to take ownership of this Save game, select yes.
Profit!!!
What happens in Minecraft is that step 9 fails ("This item cannot be transferred between profiles"). From what I read this is a restriction that the game (aka Minecraft/4J) put on the save file. So can 4J simply remove this restriction to allow save games to be shared. It would be as simple as keeping your save game on a USB key and it could be copied to any console / profile. Sounds simple right?
Is there some underlying flaw in this approach? Thouhts?
PS. Please don't post about 3rd party save game hack utils as they may get the thread locked or XBL account banned.
They obviously have a reason for doing it otherwise it would have been made the way you're asking for in the first place. They don't just do things without a reason.

True, but sometimes the reasons are hard to contemplate. If Xbox development follows Win32 / .NET development , there are common objects, and default states that exist. Unless the developer explicitly overwrites these they will get the default object properties, or function parameters.
I simply suggest that perhaps there is a bit that could be flipped to override the (possibly) default behavior of non-transferable content.
That being said, probability is VERY high, that it is not that simple at all, and that this is a side effect of some broader, needed feature like XBL connectivity or some other core aspect of the game.
It will enver happen with Xbox Privacy policy, It's because opening the file would open up game intentionally to hackers.
that being said, you can right now change profile ID's re-hash and resign to another profile to swtich the game save over to another Persons account. I think thats as close as we are going to get to this feature is doing it "illegally"

Illegally? It's not illegal nor against the TOS to import new saves, it is however against the TOS to edit said files, ie, cheat, give yourself an unfair advantage against others.
PES games are a fine example of the above working, the option files can be swapped to any console & they work, so it's not agains MS Developer TOS, it's a developer/XDK default choice.
the actuall best way would be for any player should be able to hit the start button and in the menu hit save to storage and this would save the server map to the client. Then u wouldnt have to deal with transfers etc. It would be a hell of a lot easier

Halo had some feature like this where you could download other peoples edited maps I don't see why Minecraft cant do it and yes I know they are not the same game how ever it's a feature that should be added to the game IMO as far as I know PC does it right?
Total Miner: Forge, an Indie game, has world sharing.
Minecraft may very well have it as well.
Nobody seems to notice the game has just come out and has basically no additional content added to it from the features ported from pc version 1.6.6...
Let's all take a few deep breaths and give it some time?

Simple (perhaps) way to "share" Savegames.
