Why did i get reset?? I was 136th on normal farming, 1300 on traveling normal, 9000 on mining normal, and 12000 on kills normal. I havent cheated the leaderboards in any way. I have a huge sugar cane farm that surrounds my whole world and i play about 3 hours a day since the game came out. I have done the duplication glitch but not in my world. So a moderator or developer, please explain to me why i got reset? This is very frustrating and i am giving this game 1 star and not playing it anymore until i either get an email from a dev or mod or get put back where i was on the leaderboards.
That really isn't a protest. They already have your money. Duplication is duplication is cheating is cheating. Even if it isn't in your world. They ma consider that grounds for resetting you. Just like you will be reset if you cheat in unranked private games on Halo.
Basically all the people ahead of me in farming were all modded and had 64k pumpkins, milk, sugar cane, and the other farming thing and none of them ever got reset. I had 23k sugar cane legit
why should you even care about the leaderboard in a game like minecraft, its not supposed to be a competative game its supposed to be about survival and creativity. I for one don't care becuase i play the game for what it is and never even look at the leaderboard
The leaderboards are like my sole purpose of minecraft, it's the only reason i make really deep mines in my world and massive sugar cane farms and really long minecart paths. Without the leaderboards it's pointless for me to continue playing the game because i already have an amazing world with easily over 200 hours into it with more than one person.
First off, why would you rate the game low from one minor glitch or even something you did to your self. That seems dumb considering you said that you play so often so obviously you like the game. Besides, its the leaderboards. What will they ever do for you?

You either got reset because of the duplication glitch or the fact that splitscreen seems to cause a leaderboard reset.

I mean like the leaderboards are the reason i play it a lot. I do enjoy the game but i also like trying to be better than my friends on the kills and such.
I got reset too, but I got to say with such a glitchy leader board what difference does it make. Besides that the competition isn't in the leader board, it is in, out building everyone else...right? Personally I think they should just remove it, and forget about it.

I like comparing myself to my friends and stuff. And i am going to change my rating back to 5 stars once they fix the bug and a few of the other issues im sure everyone is familiar with.

Yeah like any one of my friends who have visited my world wants to like live in it and build a house lol, idk i just kinda like leaderboards in all games, im a leaderboard ***** :/
Seriously though instead of worrying about your rank on the leaderboards why don't you BUILD? No one cares what rank you are anyways because everyone knows the people at the top cheated or boosted to get there especially when it comes to farming.
As for why you were reset I don't think it's due to the dupliciation glitch. I've used it as a Creative Mode substitute and never got reset so perhaps your game froze or you turned off your xbox during the autosave of your profile. Either way if you used the glitch I don't think you should be on the leaderboards anyways...
Pretty sure they added leaderboards only because it's a requirement of every XBLA game...also I wish they would change the name to stats or something similar then people might be less likely to be upset over such things. It's a sandbox game people. When was the last time you bragged about your GTA stats?
My leaderboards on xbox got reset today, I have never cheated. I have chicken chutes and a water system directly to my front door, I have dug out most of my map trying to find my first stronghold since they added it and somehow I haven't found any in survival. I liked seeing the actual numbers being tracked so after hours of just farming on hard and then hours of just mining I could look back and see how much I did. For those people who say no one cares about leaderboards, just build.....your statements should say you don't care about the leaderboards so why are you posting on here about them. The people who made the game took the time to put in a leaderboard system regardless of how you feel about it and what its quality is compared to other leaderboards. And when you have friends who are just as much into all aspects of the game, they can really see the effectiveness of any of your methods you care to share by simply looking at your leaderboard scores. Without a leaderboard whats the point playing on hard because if you know enough about the game you cant say its for the challenge because its not challenging at all, iron is too common and its too easy to make iron armor and make lights to keep monsters at bay.
I think the current reset may be part of an attempt to undo the errors that were put into them with the last update. People reported suddenly having mined thousands of pumpkins (which was in error). Hopefully, at some point they will be finally fixed where the data in them are both somewhat relevant and somewhat reliable. So far, however, this has not been the case and, quite frankly, many people have just given up on them.
Personally, I would prefer a stats record for each world, since then I could compare my performance directly with whatever friends I've been playing with in that particular world. I generally consider individual worlds to be single rounds of the game. IMO, leaderboards that just add up all time mining and kills without considering how much time is spent in getting those numbers are basically meaningless. If I spent 24 hours a day playing, instead of 1 or 2, then I would certainly be higher up in the leaderboards... even without being any more skillful at playing the game than I am right now.

I actually like the idea of that... it would give us a chance to compare how much time spent on each world as they are individual parts of the time spent in minecraft. Better than an overall IMO, which to me just states roughly the amount I play the game as a whole. Doesn't mean much to me, as I would rather see how much I have done in each. The leaderboards are not really reliable anyway, well at least in the way I would look at them. And sometimes are a bit confusing since I hardly pay attention to them...>< lol

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
It happened the day after the only time i have played splitscreen
