On topic: I always tend to just use random seeds and have come across one or two that had great areas to make one... However, until we get a way to tell the name of the seed we're on, I can't share any.
Have you tried using your Xbox name as a seed? You never know.

You're welcome, I used my name and found a giant desert next to a huge pit of stone. And in the top right corner of the map I found the perfect little island to make a mansion on.
I never use random seeds for exactly the reason that I can't check what they are. So I've been using the name of the world as the seed every time, which in turn means I can check my seed just by looking at the saved game list.
Here's a reasonably flat area on one of my worlds, with the seed Calydon -
And here are a couple from the seed Darklock -
If either of those seeds look good to you, feel free to use one.
