So ive been playing mcx360 a LOT in the past few weeks, and now the hotbar is starting to burn to my plasma. Im afraid to play anymore in case it gets worse.
Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? Im so sad, i love mcx360, and i want to keep playing.
Also dont say "get a new tv, plasma's arent for gaming" i know that, but im 15 and the plasma was a christmas gift from my dad.
This is so odd that this is happening to so many people, yet I've never had an issue with not only Minecraft, but any other game I've played. :| Must be a plasma thing. Sorry to hear that, man.

He's a slacker jack and he's okay, he games all night and he sleeps all day.
Turn your brightness & contrast down on your TV & you will be fine, if you configure you TV properly you wont get burn in, your contrast should be higher than your brightness by 20 or 30.
you should have an option on your TV called orbiter or pixel something & some other settings like white wash or colour wash, these are there to prevent/remove image retention.
If you dont want to get image retention or in the worst case burn in, configure your TV correctly especially brightness & contrast.

Yeah, this.
That said - I have had this problem in Minecraft, both Fallout games, and the Netflix app. Even with the orbiter. It's probably just image persistence, not burn-in, which means it will go away after a while.
As far as "LOL you have a plasma," for me this was a considered decision made in the complete awareness that it was more susceptible to burn-in, because I could get a 50" plasma for the price of a 32" LED and it had much better picture quality.
You do know LCD's get burn in & image retention :\ though not as easly, but then again, take the time to configure your tv correctly & you wont ever get problems.
& Plasmas are actually better for gaming if your looking for fast respons times or instant 0.001ms
I have a 51" Samsung plasma, and with proper adjustments I have never had burn on & i have over 275 hours in Skyrim alone. ZERO burn in.
I dont know what your doing, maybe you have all your settings on 100 - you need to read your user guide, adjust your settings and do a "white wash" the tv should have this in its Settings menu. hope it works.
Plasma is superior to LCD in picture quality, but like any fine instrument you have to know how to use it.

He probably has an older plasma which are notorious for burn in. The burn in issue with newer plasmas is pretty much gone. Also, it only happens when something stays on the screen without changing for long periods of time. (like the minecraft hotbar) This was one of the main reasons why a few years back everyone used to say to stay away from plasmas like the plague if you played games and to never EVER use them as a pc monitor.

But then again haters gonna be haters.
I would like to disagree must be my plasma TV customer soometimes it be lagging and I'm not playing online.I got lagged so bad I got mad and quit!! Rage quit lol
Best way to clean up burn in is find a channel with the white static snow and I think 30 minutes to 1 hour of that will easily get rid burning that isnt serious.
Usually tv's have a antenna setting in the video output menu which you would use for a tv antenna and this works like a charm and is completely random static so its a cheap fix.

But get yourself a good LED back-lit Samsung or Toshiba, and the only noticeable difference will be the black level.
