I am pretty disappointed, I have been playing the 360 version for a week now and put in a ton of hours ect...
I have just started making neither portals and guess what the game freezes and crashes as soon as I enter.
Here is the dilemma
Do I start a new game...
Should I bother if the same thing will happen?
If I just restrict my self to no entering the neither will the future patch ie jungle ect work on my current game?
so should we ignore the fact our current world will be rendered a second class option and press delete on a ton of hours and creativity.
I have been speaking to many people on various forums about this and I am not sure if I should wait years for a final version to play or continue to play a game that I am restricted to not entering the neither and could freeze my Xbox so badly I have to physically turn it off.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have cleared the cashe, re downloaded ect and nothing works. Quite disappointed.
Patches and updates should work with the retail release, I want to kill the pigmen yet they live in the safety of the neither. Which I can't enter.
you can wait for the bug fix that's coming in a few weeks, and no one knows about the new biomes. With a guess it seems like we will have to make new maps to get the new generated structures and biomes.
The way you write is hard for me to read. Also, the nether crashing will be fixed in the update coming in 3 weeks. It will not take 5 years to get caught up.

You will need a new map for all new things terrain related. The Xbox differs from the PC version in terms of world generation. When you start a world on the Xbox, it's all generated at once, unlike the PC version where it generates as you explore.
I had a similar problem with the game crashing as soon as I entered it, over and over.
I solved it by just letting the game sit there for 5 minutes, every time I load it up. If I move around or build things, it freezes. But if I wait 5 minutes, it's okay. So try that.
To the Op seriously deal with it.It is a known problem it will be fixed.
Yes deal with it, as a consumer I'm totally cool with buying broken things. Games crash that's just how it is but these issues are a little hard to swallow. If I pay for a game that has features advertised shouldn't I get what I paid for. I cannot progress to certain parts of the game, if it was ea or some other big faceless corp people would loose there minds, I support indie and proud of it but it's shouldn't take 2 months to fix major problems.
Did you save? If you didn't, it probably would have just reverted you to the last save and its kinda your fault for not saving. If you did save, then it is a bigger problem.

Starting a new map seems like spending 100 hours painting a picture and then throwing it on a fire.
