So, I just read that "Golden Apple" thread and someone "confirmed" that Golden Apples do not exist in 1.6.6.

Well, on one of my maps, I found a Golden Apple in one of the chests from one of the dungeons and here it is:

So, if there's no Golden Apples in 1.6.6 I'm confused as to how I have this! Haha!

I think theres going to be a lot of this going around as so many folks are exploring and unearthing this version of the game. good for you!

I found coco beans in a chest after a Creeper blew up and exposed a shallow mob spawner/dungeon. I read coco beans werent available but I have one.

What does the golden apple do? i havent Googled it, as I didnt know it existed.

When I hit the "What's this" it says it heals 10 hearts... I've had it since day... Four I think after release. I'll probably never end up using it.

I've found a total of 4 or 5 monster spawners on my map and gotten everything you can get from those chests EXCEPT a disc. I already have both of the discs currently in the game through the "get a skeleton to kill a creeper" method anyway.

I too found coco beans in a chest. I think it was seed 888. I was going for the saddle to get that pig achievement.

Golden Apples(According to the wiki) have been in the game since "infdev". I did not hack this item into my inventory or game.

I wondered about that too. Golden Apples were in the 1.6.6 PC version.

Golden apples existed back during alpha times, why wouldn't they be in beta? And you probably read the page wrong, you can't craft golden apples yet.

It is plainly said by someone(I refuse to name names, but you'll see anyway) that "There are no golden apples in 1.6.6".

Not, "You can't craft Golden Apples in 1.6.6".

Lol I have found a golden apple as Well in a dungeon's chest. Does that make me a "hacker" as well? Lmao when I get home I can get a picture of it if you'd like...

I also found some Cocoa Beans in a chest, as well as THREE saddles (in the same chest).

Not that that is amazing or anything, but as they are not exactly common, to find 3 in one dungeon chest was pretty cool.

Off to saddle some pigs!

did anyone think it was posible that the post from 4J could have gotten it wrong? maybe they just looked at their updates list wrong.

Golden Apples were added in Infdev of Minecraft PC. That means they were in the game before Alpha and means they were in the game during Beta. They cannot be crafted in the Xbox version, they can only be found.

4J is wrong, they are in Beta 1.6.6, and in the Xbox version.

He's not hacking, they're in 1.6.6. They just have a REALLY low rate to be found in chests(like, .7% or something). Try doing some research before you be an ass hole and accuse people of hacking.

Golden apples are true.Ive got everything so far from dung...sept saddle.only 2 disks yet.About 14 dung so far I think.

Last two pissed me off only got bucket and bread.Maybe some more cocco beans..

Why wouldn't 4J get this wrong, they didn't do the best job when it came to porting the game. :/ They probably meant crafting golden apples and possibly forgot that this was another method of getting one?
