Can I spawn Slimes yet?

I made a strip mine that is 3 blocks tall, 14 blocks wide and about 150- 200 blocks in length, do you think I can spawn slimes?

Pretty sure that would allow slimes to spawn in but bigger is always better. Maybe even build tunnels into other areas

Yeah, only certain areas of the map spawn slimed, so keep expanding until you see 'em spawn
