The internet is a place where you can make long-lasting friendships. You can also watch 2 girls drink diarrhea from a glass. Two sides to every coin....

If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 99% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 1% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
You found a dungeon. "Dungeons" in Minecraft XBLA (for now) are pretty much just one-room affairs with a monster spawner and 1 (sometimes 2) chests. They are sought after because they allow you to get items not yet available in the current version (such as saddles and cocoa beans). They are generated randomly beneath the earth or in mountains.
If you are hunting them, look for the trademark Dungeon Moss Covered Rocks. Once you see rocks with greenery, you've found one. In fact, collect them up because this is the only place at present you can get the moss-covered rocks.
For a while I assumed that gaggles of monsters indicated a Dungeon was nearby. I've found that's not necessarily the case at all. Monsters form in darkness just as quickly as from the generators. If you see one KIND of monster clogging up an area, now your chances are better for finding a nearby dungeon.
Out of 60+ hours of playing Minecraft, I've only found two dungeons total. But of course your mileage is going to vary based on the world you are playing on.
I found a dungeon 3 days after I got Minecraft for the Xbox, with two chests and a Skeleton Spawner. Luck is, you'll find an above ground dungeon in the desert while sand gathering or mining near gravel in every 2/5 worlds....

I had almost the exact same experience. I was building a castle on top of a hill (with gravel and dirt, to show how new at this game I was), and I uncovered a skeleton dungeon in the side of the mountain. Having absolutely no idea what I found, it was a surreal experience... "WTF? What's with the pig spinning around in the cage???"

Does every map have a generated chest?? If so how many..Never new there were chest's hidden!!
You have clearly never played minecraft before. You cant even PICK UP monster spawners, let alone "plant" them for easy loot.
Edit: Sorry for some reason thought platapus was the OP
