So I had just finished a sentry turret for my Nethrock Fortress and decided it was time to play some Battlefield 3. Upon saving an exiting the game froze.. I know what that means, and I'm pissed about it. I spent a very large amount of effort on this world and even saved some to explore once the update came so I could get some Clay. But apparently one of the 3 times this game has ever frozen on me (Not even during gameplay.. Only start ups for online games, until now) had to be during a save... This wouldn't be a huge freaking deal (Its a minor annoyance for games like Skyrim, Fallout, and others) but we are restricted to a single save and no autosaves... I would REALLY like to see the saving system changed...
So.. Am I gonna be able to play on this world again or am I gonna go rage at Microsoft? I know the PC had corrupted worlds fixed.
Clay is a minor issue. The real issue is I freaking built my entire world without abusing any glitches and had a minecart system that spanned the entire world. I had just finished a massive Netherock Fortress which took a good 600+ blocks... Well over 100+ hours were put into this world and it can't just be "Gone".
I don't really even want to play anymore because this has happened to quite a few of my friends and now me. Why bother playing if my save can be nuked so easily?
Well in those 100+ hours you spent playing, I would have recommended saving without exiting
Excuse me for not knowing saving your world is broken! Former sentence is something you should NEVER see in a game that relys on saves (Which most do now.). I still would like to know if I'm screwed or theres a bit of hope here...
Wait, are you saying you played for 100 hours and didn't save it once? I've had my Xbox crash while saving and exiting and it didn't corrupt it. Freezing while saving is common but corrupted worlds are rare. Did you even try to load the world after it froze?

No... This is the first time its frozen while I've saved and exited. And I've been hearing alot on this issue, so maybe it isn't corrupted. I've been too scared to actually check. I know it was stupid to come here and complain before I actually knew, you don't gotta tell me that. This thread is also for friends with that issue as well.
I'm curious if there will ever be a way to recover corrupted worlds? *EDIT* My world isn't corrupted, thank goodness.
Good to hear. When mine froze on save and exit I was scared to death that it would be corrupted. I never used save and exit again, and thankfully I haven't froze on a save since.
