Now, I just crafted me a fancy shmancy, spanky new record player... with no records. I already understand that I need to get a skeleton to kill a creeper for it to drop, but what I want to know are ways to make this happen. Could you guys post a few means to achieve this?
While this method may be a bit annoying, it works pretty well.
Dig a five by five hole (two deep.) attract a creeper into the pit. Shoot said creeper three times before luring a skeleton into that same pit. At this point you just have to stay within range of the skeleton until he hits the creeper instead of you.

Or try this
shot the creeper 4 times, but yeah this is the best. build this out of obsidion if you have enough blocks and it will be indestructible in case they blow up before you want em too.
