"If you enter a string of text, the process used to convert it into an integral value is in fact not very different to the process most websites use to store an impression of your password (many sites/systems do NOT store a textual password, just the results of processing it in some way and the process itself). The internet is a place where you can make long-lasting friendships. You can also watch 2 girls drink diarrhea from a glass. Two sides to every coin....
That's what i was thinking...funny how one symbol can change the whole meaning. Im sure someone understands how worlds are generated...you may have better luck on a pc forum.
"The data you enter helps determine the biome and geographical layout.
You can use the same number for the seed and have multiple copies of the exact same world. *You will spawn in different spots but it is the same map.
You can use letters/words in the Seeds option as they convert to numbers via binary. Note that capital letters vs lowercase letters have different values in binary. SEed would result in a different world from SeEd.
Example from this thread on the official forums. Seed entered as "12345678" generates the exact same map on anyone's account, so these are not limited strictly to your accounts.
So we now have a fantastic way of sharing our favorite (raw) maps without having to share the actual files."
