Hello.its beign said that mods will not be in xbox. what about just opening our xbox and download mods from official xbox site? wont you think its terrible without mods?
No offense but I'm not overly fond of people like you who try and make Minecraft sound like it has to be played with mods in order for it to be fun. Mojang, and now 4J, have worked extremely hard on Minecraft and there is nothing wrong with the regular vanilla game. I owned the PC version for 2 years before I started using any mods and even then, it was only Optifine that I used to make the game run smoother on my PC.
Rant Over.
4J has said they will look into mods but they make no promises. They have many more important things to worry about right now with the game than getting mods out anytime soon, if at all. I for one want them to keep doing exactly wha they are doing, focusing on the updates.
It is way to difficult to get mods on Xbox. It isnt like PC mods can be downloaded to the Xbox and theyll work. All mods will have to be written/rewritten in the 360's code. This is way to big of a process for 4J studios to create a system to allow this, and Microsoft would probably shoot it down anyways.

Not to mention just the logistical nightmare of 3rd party mods... compatibility between players with different mods when on the same map. I can see some DLC's that might function like "mods", that would simply not allow you to enter worlds running them. Think of the map-packs common in FPS games. But if they come out, don't expect a bunch of them, and they'll all come from Microsoft (or at least through them).

DLC doesnt always cost money. And pDLC is the only way your going to get the effect of a mod. 4J studios also has to put the time and their own $$ into creating it.
To each his own really, I have never used mods on the PC (not even texture packs or skins), wouldn't use them on xbox, but if it makes the game more enjoyable for you and it were possible sure go for it. Problem is it won't be possible as Microsoft has a very strict No Mods policy
