To everyone complaining about money. First off, in the PC that stuff is fan made not created by mojang itself. 4J actually has to make everything themselves. Seriously if you are complaining you probably have never made your own skin or texture pack. It is not easy
I always find it interesting when people get all riled up over things like this. I would love for texture packs to be available, but the XBox is different from the multitudes of computers out there. Microsoft controls what goes in their machine while generally you put stuff on your computer at your own risk. It would be great if texture packs were free, but it's highly unlikely they would be, if they are made available at all to begin with. They'll probably follow the model they're using with the skins. You pay a small amount for a package of them and get to choose what you use.
If you don't want to pay for DLC, that's fine, but swearing in a forum isn't going to make it stop or change anything. Don't want it? Don't buy it.

Texture Packs will probably be paid-for DLC just like the Skin Packs. Everyone's upset because the main reason that we have to pay is Microsoft, genius. It's sad to know that people like you are allowed to breed...

So why do you have an Xbox if you dislike Microsoft so much? I have no problem supporting Microsoft...I love my Xbox...and paying a bit of money now and then is really no big deal and I'm dirt poor...So I say suck it up...put on your big girl panties...and shell out a couple bucks you cheap, self righteous, whiny babies

I have absolutely no problems with paying for texture packs. They seem a little more substantial as opposed to skins. Yes skins are nice but I would much rather have the DLC work go towards textures instead. I bought the last skin pack and I only use one of them all the time. I probably won't even purchase the next skin pack coming out this week. If it were a new texture pack though, I would throw down my cash without a second thought.

I hope that if they introduce texture packs that instead of choosing either default or another texture pack that you can choose individual textures. For example I want the wood plank to look classic but had stone be the new texture, you see what I mean where you can choose the texture for each item. That would be awesome.

Would you rather have an existing texture pack for free in like a year or a pack you have to buy in like a month...
