Such a great game. Just by showing it to them, my sister and nephew both bought the game. My sister said, "I did not like it at first, but it grows on you."
I played it with a friend and he wants to come over every day to further our world. He says he will buy it once he gets his 360 repaired and internet back (tough times). My great nephew and I also have a game going. He wants a copy so bad.
So, how many friends and family members have you convinced to get a copy? Minecraft definitely grows on (some if not most) people; they just have to see it in action.
A lot of my friends were into games like Castle Miner Z and such and I would always blab on and on about Minecraft and how its coming to XBLA.
So when Minecraft came out, getting them to at least get into it wasn't so hard, since they already were interested in building block type games. They have never touched the game on the PC. In return every single one of my friends that have bought the game have not stopped playing since. They have all said Minecraft is way better than the others.
I suggested to my older brother and one of my good friends that they try out the free demo and they were instantly hooked, and after I got the game I made the mistake of showing it to my little brother. Now it's a struggle to get playtime in haha. You're right though, all someone needs to do is play once and MC seeps into your soul until you can't live without it....
Up to 4 now, all of them madly addicted and have since figured out why I spent all that time on my laptop playing this "stupid game" as they so often put it

So, I've convinced at least 5 of them to buy it.
