So, like everyone, I got into the Nether and couldn't make it back out... freeze. After experimenting a little bit, here's what I did in order to make it back out. I'm not sure what particular part of this sequence made things work, but I was able to get my stuff out of my crate and get back to the mainland via portal without a freeze. Try at your own risk!
1. Xbox Settings > Disconnect WiFi network.
2. Started Minecraft (saved in outer-world) > tried to portal to Nether > game froze.
Thought to myself, "The game freezes when I enter the Nether with WiFi OFF, and freezes when I exit the Nether with WiFi ON... Hrm."
3. Xbox Settings > Reconnect WiFi network.
4. Started Minecraft (same save, disabled "online" and "invite only") > Travelled to portal (outer-world) and saved before entering.
5. Entered Nether OK. Grabbed stash, spun around, exited Nether OK.
Go figure. Maybe there's something to the whole WiFi enable/disable thing with this bug? Either way, I'm out with my stash. Give it a shot!
