So I just made a brand new house, two stories high - if I'm correct it's 14x14x17 - added a pool next to the house and even have a farm in the back yard with an Oasis behind that. Now I want to work on fencing it out without using fences. Is there a way I can get leaf blocks so that I can create a hedge? or would I have to wait for the shears to come out in the next update?
You could use the old hedge trick, but it's difficult to work with.
Dig a... 5x5x3 hole, I think? It's been ages since I've done it. Plant a sapling at the bottom and grow it with bonemeal until you have the size and height you need, then cut the leaves until it's the shape you need and bury it all. You can grab some of the bottom logs if you want, but be sure to leave at least one block of wood under the leaves, or they'll disappear.
