I have just got the portal to the Nether and i stepped in and i got to the nether, but its in mid air over lava no where near ground or mountains, but i can still see the mountains and the ground. What can i do to get over to the ground?
Crouch to make sure you don't fall off and build a cobblestone (important that it's cobblestone) platform by the portal. Building stairs will be a bit tricky...maybe you can build out over a mountain and jump onto it (peaceful mode would be best for this).
