I was recently trying to kill some creepers for some TNT for the dup glitch after i failed and placed it in my house and forgot that if i punch it itll plow up. >< And the skeletons are so OVERPOWERED! The shoot there bones like machine guns! Lol, i know an update is fixing soon. But do you think skeletons are OP?
It makes you almost impossible to hit if you do it right. Also, put things inbetween you and the skeleton. Make it come to you. Hide around a corner until it get's close enough to hit. Or behind a tree if you in the woods.
Why would you use arrows to fight skeletons and creepers? Just seems pointless when it takes 5 arrows to kill 1 creeper, and you don't get those arrows back. You'll have to kill like 3 or 4 skeletons to get those arrows back, and you can't do that when you don't have the arrows in the first place.
So just learn to use a sword effectively. It just takes practice.

I have a feeling that anyone complaining about skeletons hasn't had to deal with Spider Jockeys sailing into the middle of the ocean to get you after climbing vertically up your house and falling on your head to cause you to end up in the water.

Umm....you know you can make arrows right? Out of some of the most common materials in the game even.
Yeah, skeletons are accurate because they're coded well. If you can't handle it, don't go out at night, or learn how to dodge arrows and shoot them yourself. Calling them OP is ridiculous, its the classic cry of the bad gamer.

Creepers tend to blow up even if you get away after the attack in this version( I believe mostly due to lag), not to mention I have 2 mob spawners and I found a skelly dungeon so I made a trap for them as well. I have a lot of arrows!
I feel that with their high fire rate along with natural knock back and any enchantments on their bow they are too over powered, also most times you encounter a skeleton there are a couple other hostile mobs that attack you. Even if you get a hit in with the new update they can have armor which means your screwed if you get cornered

Strafe back and forth and stay at a distance, I always attack Skellies and Creepers with the bow, it is way to dangerous to fight up close with them.

You can block on the PC, which is nice if you're stuck up close to a skeleton.

I think it's the opposite, actually. The arrow tracks exceptionally well - even through water and some blocks. That sounds like not-so-well coded.

They were better in my opinion 1.7.3 was my favourite time but if it had hunger and all that it would be better.
