Has anyone been struck by lightning yet?

I just was and I have to say, it was an awesome/funny/freak-out moment for me(No, I have not played the PC version)

So, I'm looking up tutorials for redstone circuits and the like, and as I'm going to pick up some rails and redstone, I hear BOOM, see a bit of a flash of light and take damage. My first thought was, of course, creeper. However, this can't be since I'm playing on peaceful while learning all the cool things that I can do. That's when I realized that I had, indeed, been struck by lightning.

Your lucky it wasn't a Creeper that got shocked instead! Charged creepers are something you don't wanna meet!

I've barely ever seen any lightning. All it does in my world is rain, and rain hard.

Maybe I'm just not noticing it when it happens? Too busy and lost in whatever I'm doing?

I was playing with my friend, lightning started to come down, I was shocked at how amazing it looked little did I know my friend was in the Nether. Then the unthinkable happened, lightning struck my Boo creation, I was so mad that I ran out side, as i was trying to stop the fire my friend started to complain that the nether portal wasn't on/working, I walked over to it and notice that lightning had struck that too. He is now stuck in the Nether because I'm too lazy to fix it, and he doesn't want to die with diamond armor.

I LOL'ed. I hope my lack of sympathy isn't too awful. Minecraft chaos is kinda funny.

Most of my world is a giant snow biome so it mostly just snows in my world.

My main world for building, cause I used the dup glitch, so it is my creative/redstone testing world, rains more than it is sunny. Lightning every five rainstorms or so. I thought it was strange that this map rained/lightninged so much, but I am going with it being the seed. my other play level, where dup glitching will get you sent to hell with nothing at all, unless you are shorty shorts steve in which case I will let you keep your leather pants so your but checks don't pop out, but anyway, if you dup on that map you are dead.
