I'm quite new to Minecraft and have only played single player. I was wondering; how do you join games online? I go onto 'Play Game' and it always says that there are 'No Games Found.' I really do not hope the only way to play online is by having someone on your friends list to play it and them inviting you.
you can only join your freinds games that are added on xbox live. theres no 'multiplayer' session like in COD ect.
plus its alot better to play with a few freinds to build than total strangers
That's really quite poor...Hardly any of my friends list play Minecraft so I never get to play online. I expected better when I paid ~£13 for it.

Should have done your research. It was an extremely well known fact they made clear early on. To combat griefing and assholes in general, they made it friends only.

If you don't have people to play with, look in the Find Players section. There are tons of people searching for others to play with. http://www.minecraft...1-find-players/

Again, your fault. From almost day 1 they said it wasn't going to be on the same level as the PC. It's been known for months before the release that it was going to be equivalent to the PCs Beta 1.6.6.
I apologize to the innocent bystanders. Back to the topic, I am hoping they may increase the allowed player number down the line and with that introduce open servers in the games list. I would imagine that 16 total players would probally be the max it can handle. It may be that 8 players is all the xbox will ever be able to handle though.
It'll be interesting to see if public games are something that they add. I wouldn't mind that as an option, sometimes you just want to jump right in with others. For now though the Find Players thread is a great resource.
i dunno, the game has a lot of coding to it but that bulk isnt even really much compared to many games, i think it may be able to hit that 32 limit we used to see on games, and even have a rather minor public system, it really comes down to how much 4J is willing to do to the game and how much work they want to put into it

They did this in order to prevent griefing from random players. I know what you mean though, I do wish they had an option for PUBLIC servers.
