Now I was thinking about how minecraft would be updated on the Xbox
It can't be done without DLC
If it could every one would do it.
(ok it actually can but it cost a lot of money)
And one of the biggest things I thought to make every thing easier was if things came out in packets, Not versions.
Example
The People of the land:Comes with all updates related to Villagers, From the attacking zombies and babys to the new trade system. It will also come with the passive mob updates.
The Ruins of the Gold Hunters: Comes with all nether updates including strongholds, mines, and vallys.
In the end, The darkness sees you:Comes with all ender updates and the end of the game.
Do you get it
i think it would actualy help for those who hate certain updates but like others.
It's coming out in versions. The next version will be 1.7.3. It won't be DLC, it will be a title update. Already confirmed by 4J on numerous occasions.
Your idea is just plain out dumb. If someone wanted to join your game they would have to go through the process of downloading or uninstaling what updates you do or don't have !
This would be a much more fluint way to get them out tho
Getting several parts out instead of a clob that might brake more then fix.
Regardless of how you release things. If you change one thing there's always a chance of breaking another.
Releasing it as themed DLC would create more problems then it would potentially fix in the long run. And everyone knew prior to release that it would eventually be updated to the equivalent of the PC version. So they aren't going to take the time to cater to everyone that wants to keep it the way it is for nostalgic reasons.
Edited first sentence of second paragraph. I swear I'm stupid sometimes

Exactly. Everyone bringing up these ways to leave features out while still getting good features just want the nostalgia or don't want the hunger bar.
The game will eventually include everything in the PC version. If you don't like it, then don't play it. It's not their fault you don't like some of the updates.
