I've recently noticed that people, probably kids, copy post after post in the Find Players subsection forums.
First it was Hunger Gamers
Then I saw a trend of RPG servers
Then I saw one guy post "Survival on Hard", then saw a few others copy but with "Easy" or "Normal"
Then I see people creating numerous cities and villages and needing citizens.
Noting that the Hunger Games and City type servers have been excessively over done, as in, to many people copying to many people
Now don't get me wrong here, but this does get repetitive and annoying.
Again, don't get me wrong here, but aren't children suppose to be super creative and imaginative?
In other words, GET YOUR OWN IDEAS
Honestly, It is not hard to think up of a hundred different ideas.
1. Build a castle
2. Build some space ships
3. Build a city
4. Build a city in the sky
5. Build a city in space
6. Build some mega builds - Houses, Vehicles, ect..
5. Build a Roman Empire
6. Build an under ground city
7. Build an under ground castle
8. Build a theme park
9. Build some battle ships with an aircraft carrier ect
10. Build some 1 for 1 scales of real famous structers
11. Build an under water city in a dome or something
or Just go out of control and think of something else up..
Children are creative and imaginative but they're also very impressionable too. I could see how this could be frustrating but you can't really fault them for something so petty.

yeah apparently this guy is mad that children are making similar maps in minecraft? the way he says children/whatever is him obviously trying to say he is not a child.

Why do you even care? There kids... I'm betting your an only child, and if not you were the youngest. Because if you've ever been around with kids... Then that's what they do. I just don't understand why you care .
Here is something to chew on though... Have you ever thought that the lack of server slots makes similar games more alike ie: PVP map but 20 people want to play... Well that 3 different servers right there with a few open slots. It's not like we can make s server with a hundred slots. Thus having less duplicates of they same game style.
What else is there to make? People don't exactly buy MC to make a dirt hut, they want to make villages and castles. They get inspiration and guidance from others' creations and take from that. Since MC doesn't have filesharing like Halo Reach or something, you always have to start from scratch, going by your eye alone. Some people buy it for that reason, no need to tell people how to spend their $20 investment.

People learn from others by looking at what can be achieved and trying it for themselves. I look at YouTube tutorials for resdstone devices so I can learn the mechanics of the game and building my overall knowledge so I am able to undertake my own contraptions. Being a community driven title, you jaded guys (OP & JDawgMillenium) are the ones giving a poor representation to newcomers... YOU sicken me...
As for your comment regarding JDawgMillenium "getting you", is a poor attempt to reach out to literally anyone who isn't telling you to grow up.and stop stressing the small stuff. He makes a completely different point to your original post but for some reason, thinks he is relating too. Perhaps you were both meant to make minecraft history... perhaps not.
Copying the "desecrated" indirectly pays homage if anything, to their work. Clearly it inspires people and hopefully people will learn to credit where it's due. In the meantime they should feel proud that so many want to copy their work. Also it would help to drop the elitist attitudes. This is supposed to be a community afterall.
Uh..redstone Tutorials and actual creations have nothing in Common?...What kind of point are you trying to make there? While yes I think copying things does help, they do have a point in the fact that people copy to the point where they claim it is their own creation. Sure they might have built it, but if you don't truly think it up yourself its not yours but someone else's creation. Its Perfectly okay to copy, even copyright material is okay to copy ONLY if you can add your personal touch to it. You'd have to change it to the point of it not being fully recognizable to the said thing you are copying meaning that it can't be exactly the same (no this doesn't mean that you can make it the same look but smaller/bigger/diffferent color but making it unique to what you are copying) And this is how something you copied would have possibly inspired someone and if they do it right, finally becomes their own creation.
