This is out of hand. Why not have the world autosave every so often and have the host be able to restart the world at a certain point to keep this from happening? I know that'd be rather daunting to do on console, but it would be an INCREDIBLE addition....
I liked it the way where they had it on Total Miner, where the host could give out permissions to certain players. Permissions such as editing and building. Thus everyone can join your world without any worries that someone will grief the place. By also restricting players from editing and only joining, players can easily roam around and explore the players worlds
The game total miner for the xbox had an excellent system for that. Made a use out of zones and what not. Made them all changable. Was a brilliant system. very user friendly. Minecraft should just impliment that into theres...

i really liked that to. they need to add that in it was so useful
If someone I don't know joins a game of mine where there's a lot of building going on, I just save the game on the spot, right then and there. Subjecting every player to a 5-10 second pause is far easier than potentially losing hours of work.

If someone I do not know joins my game, I immediately save it, even before I find out who's friend it is. I don't know them, I don't trust them. So at that point, if they do anything, then I can easily reload the world.
Sure there's plenty of ways to deal with not having this handled, but it would be nice if they made more options, personally I would like to establish a "guest area" and outside that they cant effect the world till they prove themselves trustworthy.
