Microsoft does allow discretion for refunds to the game's publisher, however, Microsoft Studios just so happens to be publish Minecraft for the Xbox 360. That being said, it's unlikely you'll receive a refund for the purposes you've mentioned.
I strongly agree that the DLC should be free, especially considering that the content is, indeed, free for the PC. The game is buggy and laggy enough as it is, I'd love to see 4J or MSS try and make amends by giving the content rather than charging for it.
It was well known that clay was rare prior to 1.7 on the PC. I doubt you will get a refund.
DLC will be chargable, updates to the game are free, all in the Livestream thread.
When clay is fixed, you will most likely have to start again. Unless you haven't explored everywhere in your world.
Ehh.. might as well get a refund now before I can't lol. I'm playing on Glacier and made a pretty sick map, spent lots of time in it so I don't feel like doing it all over again. Rather just get a refund and keep the same version on XBLMC and play the newer ones on the PC for free...

Unless you are an alpha user, DLC for minecraft PC can be charged if notch wanted to.

Still, it was released too early with plenty bugs/glitches. I would be pissed if they charged us for it and I already paid for whole thing on PC so I can get free updates all the time. Nice to have that really, new players are always there everyday, every minute so it's not the end of the world lol.

Well unfortunally I already paid for PC version so really, it's the same if they don't want to put more work into adding options/generating extra terrians for the current saved small world that I put 100 hours of work in there, then I'd rather get my refund lol. I hate starting from a blank over something they don't want to do a little extra work to have some options for add-on, it's no fun starting ALL OVER AGAIN! Might as well get a refund now just to be sure and if I hear they add it then I'll re-pay for the work they done for us!

No stoop, what I mean is that they should have some option to generate some new blocks in areas and/or have option to expand the small maps since they all started that way, plus that comes with new terrians/blocks. Even have option to randomly generate a few blocks into your map to balance it out just a little and you can have some kind of a strength bar how much blocks do you want to regenerate like 1 out of 150/1000. Not that hard to think of an idea to update the current saved worlds players do not want to start all over on after all the hours of work and wasn't expecting to start all over from scratch..

If you appreciate the job they've done so far, you wouldn't want a refund because your map is missing one of the most useless materials in the entire game and they won't implement a way to generate if for you.

You get a refund if the product you bought is so broken that it doesn't work as advertised, NOT just because an in-game feature is slightly disappointing.

No, don't feel like wasting more hours over minecraft if I have to start from the beginning, that's why I got my refund, no worries. I don't have time to do it anyways, May was my break but summer gonna be a busy vacation for me and my babe I wanted to keep building a little during the summer but starting all over? No thanks lol, it was fun anyways. Got college coming up this fall and painting cars for $$$ on the side to make extra. Need to follow weightlifting and eating hours too so I only got like 1-2 hour of free time You might have lots of time but I don't, not now like I did this May. Plus GTAV, FC3, Halo 4, and etc would be something worth spending on (sorry for off topic)
