So when you get a music disc from a creeper.... it seems to always give you the green disc if you have no other music discs in your current inventory.
Did it always work like that? I thought it gave you the next disc in the series as long as you had the previous disc in your jukebox, container or in another player's inventory.
You can get all but 1 disc by having a Skeleton shoot a Creeper to death. The first time you do this you should get the green disc. The second time, the orange one (I think), third etc etc etc.
I think on PC I remember getting a green disc and immediately putting it somewhere safe. I then went out and repeated the process and received the next disc, etc, etc.
When I did the same thing on the Xbox version I will infinitely get the green disc unless I am carrying a green disc in my inventory. No idea if I remember it wrong (possible) or if it's a version thing (possible?) or.... if it's a bug.
