Skins/maps or Modes like Creative?
i doubt any modes will be DLC, especially creative. Creative mode will come in the 1.8 adventure update, which has not been given a time frame but i hope we get it before October. if not then maybe by the holidays.

Ugh... No point in getting attached to our worlds then i guess, no big builds, no long term survival goals etc. Whats the point? Gutted.
Think I'll just leave this version for my kids to mess around on.
I restarted my world when the pc version got 1.8 because the borders of newly generated areas became glitchy as hell or looked fugly. I know quite a few others that did the same. Not any different to me.
Besides, if 1.7.3 takes two months to get added we wont see 1.8 in the this version till at least the holidays. 6+ months is pretty friggin long term if you ask me.
Also, as someone else pointed out, would you like a ravine under your house?

hey man you never know, i estimated the holidays because that is really the only time frame i have seen on that subject. the hope is that 1.8 wont be far off after the 1.7.3, but no-one knows. Personally i would be satisfied with an update every 3 weeks to a month.lol i would rage quit if i found a ravine under my house

Yeah its hard to tell when 1.8 will roll around but Im guessing itll be a long time judging by how long 1.7.3 is taking. Either way, its pretty foolish to say its not worth it to get attatched to your world(unless you want clay in July).
hi, so i heard there will be updates from 1.8 on this 1.7 but since i didn't follow MC beta i don't know what was on the 1.8 anyone know what are they adding from 1.8 to this 1.7 update? i'm sorry if they are already on the thread but like i said i don't know the updates, bug fixes etc on mc 1.8

So they are planning on giving us 1.8. Hopefully they include breeding from later updates with that or it could seriously conflict with the limited map size. I would much rather not live off of bread. Prisoners eat better than that.

well Carpenter did say something about that... he said it was a trade off, either we would have infinite worlds and barely any of the features the PC has, or Limited world and all the features the PC has (with a few exceptions). i think this is a fair trade but the world could be a little bigger, but they also said they are looking into making the world bigger, if it is possible.

I would like to know if they are going to add Death Notifications. I used to get a chuckle when watching a minecraft video just to see "Tried to swim in lava" pop up in the corner.
DLC will in general be charged for. As said above there will be skin packs and texture packs, but further in the future we can expect to possibly see P.C. 'mods' officially released as DLC and some exclusive xbox content. Some people aren't happy to pay for these things, but it is worth remembering that 4JStudios is a business, if we don't pay them then where is their motivation to make these things?

That comes in the 1.8 update.
