Spawned in a desert with a 10x10 (approx) block oasis off to the right - A LOT of desert, cactus a plenty.
This region is a region of extremes. Cloud high mountians, and very dense forest, steep walls of rock & deep valleys. Saw surface coal & iron. I am in the process of filling in the map, but I took these two pix:
Huge sand mountain.
a bit blurry, but twin waterfalls in a deep valley.
As I was scouting I ran into 2 very deep natural caves. I almost fell into one as its opening was flush with the grass, 1 block by 4 blocks!\
I have not mined anything but coal, and so far there is plenty right on the surface.
Costlines were teeming with squid. A lot of cows on the hills, didnt run in very may sheep, but did see 1 of each, black, brown, dark grey. However you will be stepping on pigs!
Saw a lot of cactus in the spawn area, and after a bit of a hike, saw a cluster of pumpkin. Noted red & brown mushroom on the surface under heavy tree brush, as well as a lot of rose and tall grass. A few pockets of sugarcane.
Many pockets of water, a few pools where land overhangs.
Will upload pic of map once I get it all filled in.
I want to share a seed I discovered. The name of the seed is;
Dreaming Rondua
That is case sensitive so both words are capitalized and there is a space between them. The first thing I do when I load a new seed is to entered "explorer mode". My main goal is to fill in the map and get a basic feel for what the world has to offer.
Here is the map of the seed. As you can see it is a mix of snow and forest.
I found a healthy amount of exposed iron and coal close to the surface. Plus if you like pumpkins I came across 20 by the time I had filled in the map. This group is along the southern coast (X: -110, Y: 71, Z: 406)
There seemed to be a number of cave entrances that began as small, unassuming, holes in the ground. I accidentally fell down this one (X: 224. Y: 70, Z: 393) when inching towards the edge to see how far is went. Turns out very far.
It lend into a huge cave system. Without any digging I kept finding more drops leading down further and further (in addition to branching paths). I was ill equipped for a thorough exploration and got really turned around and lost. I had to load a previous save just to escape. =) I did find a lot of ore though, including redstone, gold and blue lapis.
Along the north coast I found a dungeon (X: -274, Y: 66, Z: -400). I was on peaceful so I don't know what it spawns. The chests didn't really include anything exciting. Between them both there was; 2 buckets, 3 loafs of breads, 5 iron ingots and a saddle.
There wasn't really any crazy floating islands or loads of mountain ranges in the clouds (some though) but I did come across this huge cavern (X: 78, Y: 81, Z: -40) There were a few entrances and it was large enough that you could have a fair sized structure, built inside, that wouldn't touch the ceiling. I thought it was pretty unique and hadn't come across anything like it before. I'm thinking of building a small mining town there.
I have more screenshots I'd like to share but I read you can only imbed 6, so the following will just be links for you to follow.
Sorry guys. I haven't been on these forums in a while. I'll try and take some more pics of some of the seeds I've posted including: Yay, Sahara, and Kevin9809. Here's another seed I've taken photos from recently:
New seed I made today. These pics don't do the map justice but this is by far the best seed I've ever made in my opinion. Plenty of open areas of rolling hills mixed with tall mountains in areas. I still have yet to fully explore the map.
I have tried gargamel twice and and not spawned in a cave either time. I don't know if it's different but it's frustrating.
Spawning on the Xbox seems to be different. When I was playing around with my seed listed above, I started a world three times, and each time my spawn was in a different location. The first it was the lower east. Second it was the northern west. Third time it was the middle. However the map and all it's phyiscal locations were the same, it was just the spawn that kept changing.

Hmm, weird. My maps were different though. I made sure I spelled correctly.I don't know.
The map is mostly snow, though there are patches of land throughout the edges that provide trees and undergrowth. It's mainly flat-leveled, but the geography is very organized. The map is a large "S" shape stretching from the SW corner to the NE corner. On the SE and NW corners, there are fairly large islands. With the exceptions of a few scattered chunks of land, It's a very decent setup.
My major concerns are seeds and sugar canes. They're present, but not very abundantly. Obviously, a little time can get you a large farm of resources, and there are a few warmer climates throughout the map. The lack of high mountains makes navigation a little harder, as well.
I'm very happy with the map and would also welcome any other builders to join! My tag is "Master Buttchin"
I spawned near a small pond, looking at a cave entrance. Inside the cave, almost directly under the entrance was a mob spawner (had it on peaceful, so not sure what), with two chest. They held a music disc, 4/5 iron ingots, 3 bread, 3 wheat, some string, 3 redstone, and some gunpowder. Did a little exploring and found a couple areas near the spawn that would be nice for building (though you might need to clear some trees and a little dirt), a lava pool, and some snow.
Haven't found any large cave systems yet, though I have found a lot of coal and iron so far.
Has anyone found clay on the seed "Glacier"? Would really like to keep my epic world built on this seed and not have to start a new one just for the clay. Thanks.
This is the fully explored map,
And other images of the large snow biome and other areas.

I entered
CHUD
(all caps) got a very flat/sandy beachy & desert plains with areas of forest. A few tiny islands on it too.

How appropriate that there is a cave on it (it's not very large though, has sandstone it in. Maybe bigger if you dig?)

Do you know where any clay could be? I have looked all over. I need help

Random words typed for any particular reason? Is this a seed? (ps nipelss isn't a real word, try nipples)

If it makes you feel better, when I tried gargamel I didn't start in a cave either.
