Man I've found myself somewhat addicted to trying out new seeds. =)
I've been putting the little yellow phases from the start menu as my seeds. The best one I've found so far is the "Jag kanner ("a" has the two accents over it) en bot!" (no quotes). Spawn on a beach, forest and snow biomes. Two huge, I mean HUGE!! cave systems I've found so far (one on each continent), some interesting rock formations. I have not, however, found any cacti as of yet
Spawned in a forest, close to a beach. What I like about this seed is the huge cave systems. I have found over 200 iron/40 gold/1 diamond/120+ redstone/40+ lapis. This is in one cave system.
The forest has spans of mid to very lofty hills. Wide areas of beach. There is also a snowy hill region but I have not ventured out much, just down. I've seen one overhang so far. I should point out I am playing on peaceful. Also I am new to MC so I do not know what a dungeon looks like in relation to a deep cave.
Incredibly complex caves that require little to no digging to get started. Expanses branch off, sometimes up to explore. Lava and waterfalls aplenty. If you're like me, coal is essential for torches, and you will find more coal than you can carry.
I love getting to deep into a system, then hitting a block to reveal sunlight on the other side of a land mass.
Successfully grew sugarcane and wheat. I hope MC will get the the animal breeding feature.
UPDATE; Went back into the cave I have been exploring for a week to discover I had not reached the bottom. I keep digging and another level opened up, and this area was as big as the area above it. I found a lot more redstone, gold, at least 100 more iron ore blocks. Hit lava pools and more importantly I found a Spawner. I laughed at a spinning pig on fire in a cage, so I set it free. 2 chests awaited. 1 with the illusive saddle. Also harvested 35 green moss blocks. I think THIS may be the bottom. It took me 45 mins to find my way back up and out.

out of bordom i created a seed that was amazing lava on land tons of trees some wolfs and floating land great for survival its called homeiswherethenotchis it might not be super original but i havent seen it and just decided hmm this might be cool and it turned out prety awesome
Question...? Has anyone officially tried "Diamonds, diamonds everywhere" ?! Most forums post 3 amazing pictures of this seed and I've spent several hours looking for the "lavafall' in the picture and no luck! I was able to find the floating island/mountian thing and the mountian-side with then interesting cave structure. Some people have mentioned coords, but, I am unsure as to how to use them on mindecraft xbox 360 edition, So basically can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks alot guys!

Update on Fel Chakra, it does have a slime spawning chunk(I don't know if this changes for each person), but I have found a slime chunk. Also found 8 mob spawners so far. I've also found over 1000+ iron just from normal mining.
Like any self-respecting geek would, I've been using the names of characters, cities, and countries from my old AD&D campaign as world seeds... and the capital city of my main country, Greywind, has turned out to be a pretty awesome seed when starting out.
You start out facing toward this pretty epic wall. (Climb straight ahead and up to the high ground so you can see it.) There are also sheep and cows and pigs all over the place.
Turn to your left, and you'll see a couple of red mushrooms by a tree in the distance.
Head down there and to your left to find some dandelions and grass, if you're into that sort of thing.
Continue through this area, and you'll find a sandy beach area.
There's a huge lake on the right, but bear left.
You'll see a bunch more grass and some roses as you continue. Climb this slope.
Beyond the roses you'll see a cave. (Screenshots taken in peaceful mode, but there are usually five or six mobs in here, generally including one or two creepers.)
Just inside this cave you'll see a small vein of iron and another of coal.
Continue through the cave to find a cluster of brown mushrooms.
Head to your left out of this cave mouth to find a stand of birch trees.
It's easy to overlook, but there's a bit of sugar cane here. There's more on the opposite shore of the lake.
If you need cactus, head back to the huge lake you passed on the way here, and continue past it.
You'll reach another sandy area leading to a small wooded area.
Cross through the wooded area to find true desert and cactus.
The directions are pretty easy to follow: bear to your left. That's more or less it, unless you need to detour for cactus. It covers pretty much all the stuff there is to be had above ground in a reasonably compact area that can be covered before the first nightfall, leaving you free to concentrate on other stuff thereafter.
Since I'm rather keenly aware that this doesn't look like other threads in this section, and also that I'm kind of new here, feel free to read me the riot act if this isn't the sort of thing you were looking for.
one of the best seeds o far is i would do your mom and before you type that in put a space. you will spawn in the middle of the ocean head south east you will find floating masses and one is shaped like a dragon with little wings. someone upload if possible cant do it from tablet
I saw people posting about wanting a seed with alot of water. I was messing around trying out different words for seeds and found one that has some of everything. ALOT of water,a few huge mountain ranges, this cool large rolling plains like area, some snow capped hills, caves, pumpkins and sugar.
