This seed has a great mix of terrain. Whether you like snow, mountains, flatland, desert, or forest, you should give this one a try.
- I counted two and a half villages total
- One and a half of those villages are located ON the water. One of which has sugarcane and cacti, with pumpkins nearby
- The "half" village includes an unfinished house and tower along with a wheat farm
- Extremely tall mountains with a few overhangs and some pretty cool valleys
I've only explored by flying, so there is still plenty to be discovered.
At least 10110101 Stills works for the most part in 1.8.2
I don't know if the dungeons are still there but the formations are, that had the dungeons before... It does look quite different from the 1.7.3 version, but not by much. As i said the arches are still there with more around and beyond it. The desert is a bit smaller, not as much sand as there use to be. This map has all the terrain for the most part spread across the map. There are 2 Villages but those are along the edge of the map, and you should know what that means... both are split downthe middle with quite a few buildings not cut but still some cut by the edge.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
1. Exactly one non-derpy village, with at least a blacksmith shop (the one with lava and a furnace) and a library (the one with a crafting table and bookshelves).
2. At least one stronghold.
3. Melon & Pumpkin seeds.
Anybody know any good ones?

- Bottom left has huge dessert with a village in it and the border of the desert is huge mountains (Very cool)
- Lots of huge mountains just filling the north side
- Swamp area
- snow area
This seed is really cool I'd reccomend it to anyone because it has a taste of everything and the area is big enough that if you only like one area then you still have enough room.
This is a pretty great seed. vast plains, tons of mineshafts/caves, huge mountain ranges, 4 villages so far with one being a blacksmith village (had a lava bench set up on the porch) and others had small farms, rivers, not too much, or too little water. Biome-wise its mostly plains, but there are some small deserts, swamps, and snow. Its really a great variety. I havent done too much exploring yet but judging by flying through on creative its gonna be sweet. Also ive seen a couple Endermen.

lol nice one. Sorry but all the villages ive seen all look like they were built by Derpydurps. The seed i just listed has the blacksmith shop your describing, and melons/pumpkins. I dont know about strongholds yet.
What can I say, this map has everything a true adventurer could want in 1.8.2, - several villages, all biome types and some of the best mountains and ravines I have seen so far.
Tried a lot of my old seeds from 1.7.3 but they all generate differently now, tried this one which wasn't anything special in 1.7.3 and now in 1.8.2 it's up there with best, hence why I posted it here.
I did find a mine, 2 dungeons, a stronghold and library all in the south west not far from initial spawn in the same cave system but I'm sure there's more to be found.
Oh, and lookout for a sinkhole in the North X: 77, Y:64, Z: -297, it's like a four way massive ravine under there!
i tried all nines as my seed and its not too bad, you spawn right by a village with a blacksmith and library, and not too far away is a massive cave with a mineshaft that has 3-4 chests with melon and pumpkin seeds. theres a dungeon in the cave as well. overall the map has a nice diversity of biomes, not too many large mountains though. one mountain at the top center of the map has a lavafall and theres a village real close by. still looking for a stronghold however
I know its spelled wrong, I got on to my buddy for it, but it has 5 and a half Villages (1 is on the border of the map) along with lots of ravines and clay, and we haven't yet explored the entire map yet either! Just figured I'd let you guys know!
The village on the bottom of the map right of center has a stronghold below it, and it has an open doungen right next to the village.
The village on the far left of the center of the map has a abonded mineshatf with a chest containing melon seeds x=-365 y=65 z=49, you can dig strieght down and find the chest.

I got a finicky request. Anyone got a nice looking seed where the biome placement makes sense? After the patch on every map I've created they have been splattered all random like. I really want one where the snow isn't right next to the desert. I still want everything! Villages, plains, mountains, forests, snow, swamp, desert, mine shafts, strongholds. A very modest amount of water. And it must be beautiful!
I'm wondering with the old seeds not working, should this thread be archived and a new one started?

1) Small village w/ 5 houses and no farms with a surface doungen 5 blocks away from it
2) large village with lots of houses and and farms
3) Large village with lots of houses and 5 farms
4) Small village with 3 farms

Democratic - Nice mountain ranges up top, and lots of flat land for building
