THE NEW 1.8.2 SEEDS THREAD CAN BE FOUND LOCATED HERE.
MC (XBLA) Best Seeds List
This is an updated list containing Seeds that work for the 360, and their descriptions. It's a Thread for sharing some of the best (or most interesting) seeds known to the 360 edition with the Minecraft Community, or even to simply share a seed which meets a specific requirement which is hard to find (i.e. has all biomes). Obviously It depends on the community itself to keep this thread active. I will be in charge of listing each seed and it's description given, but I can not guarantee a description is 100% accurate, or correct. I can only compile what information is given, and if you feel any descriptions are misleading or false, you can inform me about it.
If you are going to list a Seed, please leave a detailed enough description so it will give other players a general idea of what to expect. If you simply write a seed and state it's awesome, then it is not going to be added to the list. Images help greatly, and all screenshots of a particular seed will be featured in the descriptions of the seed they are relevant to. Also, I believe seeds are case sensitive, so please ensure the casing you use is correct!
The List
celtic(Posted by CelticStorm)
Spawned on a beach-ish area and went up the mountain directly ahead to find this view:
It's actually a really cool map with lots of caves, mountains, flatlands, sand, CLAY, lakes, cacti, and floating parts. I have already made a farm house in a lake. It's at the top-leftish of the map. It's a lake with sand in the middle, so I built the house on the sand, put dirt all around it for farming, and put cacti all around it to protect it against mobs and animals.
While exploring, I have also found a few dungeons. I got a music disk, some iron ingots, saddles, cocoa beans, wheat, bread, and string from them. There's plenty of coal and iron.
It is a mix of snow and forest, I found a healthy amount of exposed iron and coal close to the surface. Plus if you like pumpkins I came across 20 by the time I had filled in the map. This group is along the southern coast.
There seemed to be a number of cave entrances that began as small, unassuming, holes in the ground. Without any digging I kept finding more drops leading down further and further (in addition to branching paths). I did find a lot of ore though, including redstone, gold and blue lapis.
Along the north coast I found a dungeon (X: -274, Y: 66, Z: -400). I was on peaceful so I don't know what it spawns. The chests didn't really include anything exciting. Between them both there was; 2 buckets, 3 loafs of breads, 5 iron ingots and a saddle.
There wasn't really any crazy floating islands or loads of mountain ranges in the clouds (some though) but I did come across this huge cavern (X: 78, Y: 81, Z: -40). There were a few entrances and it was large enough that you could have a fair sized structure, built inside, that wouldn't touch the ceiling. I thought it was pretty unique and hadn't come across anything like it before. I'm thinking of building a small mining town there.
Spawned in a desert with a 10x10 (approx) block oasis off to the right - A LOT of desert, cactus a plenty. This region is a region of extremes. Cloud high mountains, and very dense forest, steep walls of rock & deep valleys. Saw surface coal & iron. Costlines were teeming with squid. A lot of cows on the hills, didnt run in very may sheep, but did see one of each, black, brown, dark grey. However you will be stepping on pigs! Saw a lot of cactus in the spawn area, and after a bit of a hike, saw a cluster of pumpkin. Noted red & brown mushroom on the surface under heavy tree brush, as well as a lot of rose and tall grass. A few pockets of sugarcane. Many pockets of water, a few pools where land overhangs.
It's a well-rounded seed with snow, beach, and forest, as well as a good amount of ocean. But the one excellent thing about this seed is its giant ice-capped mountain in the north-central area. It has unobstructed views on all sides, and a small hole that lets you jump into the waterfall on its south face. The south face has a signature ring-shaped overhang that's impossible to miss from ground-level.
It contains many extreme hills. There are quite a few hills that extend above the cloud line. There are some rather large waterfalls scattered throughout the map, as well as one decent sized lava flow. In the top left corner of the map there is a decent amount of desert biome, and in the bottom middle/right, there is a decent sized snowy area. The first cave I found was very expansive even without me having to dig through walls, and I encountered two dungeons just in that cave. I found 20 diamonds, 200(!) iron and a nice bit of gold in about 10-15 minutes of digging. Very iron rich world.
fill 'er up: This seed starts you fairly close to a lava pool that can be seen as a red dot near the center of the map.The large northern part of the map consists of massive mountains that touch the sky and then shear off sharply at the top of the map.
So far I have found 3 lava flows, one of which is twinned with a waterfall by a small lake. My map marker is at the lava/waterfall spot in the screenshot. A perfect place to build a house. I also ran across a scattering of pumpkins, a cave of mushrooms and deep valleys. To the south the land breaks up and becomes a bit flatter, pocketed by holes and tunnels. Snow, desert, mountains and forest. It's worth a look.
You start out facing toward this pretty epic wall. (Climb straight ahead and up to the high ground so you can see it.) There are also sheep and cows and pigs all over the place. (1) Turn to your left, and you'll see a couple of red mushrooms by a tree in the distance. (2) Head down there and to your left to find some dandelions and grass, if you're into that sort of thing. (3) Continue through this area, and you'll find a sandy beach area. (4) There's a huge lake on the right, but bear left. (5) You'll see a bunch more grass and some roses as you continue. Climb this slope. (6) Beyond the roses you'll see a cave. (Screenshots taken in peaceful mode, but there are usually five or six mobs in here, generally including one or two creepers). (7) Just inside this cave you'll see a small vein of iron and another of coal. (8) Continue through the cave to find a cluster of brown mushrooms. (9) Head to your left out of this cave mouth to find a stand of birch trees. (10) It's easy to overlook, but there's a bit of sugar cane here. There's more on the opposite shore of the lake. (11) If you need cactus, head back to the huge lake you passed on the way here, and continue past it. (12) You'll reach another sandy area leading to a small wooded area. (13) Cross through the wooded area to find true desert and cactus.
(X) - Numbers refer to the screenshot tied with the direction.
A Glacier-like seed with massive mountains and vaulted caverns. Map is 85-90% landmass with most land averaging at least 10 blocks above sea level. 70% Mountainous Forest with a large area of flat grassland in one corner and scattered with mountainous Taiga and a large contiguous Taiga biome filling out the middle-top of the map. No desert that I was able to spot.
This is a very, very impressive seed with lots of fantastic landscape, massive amounts of land area and lots of vertical landscape to boot. There's mining and building for DAYS to be had on this map! There's also a massive cave system in the grassland area that occupies the bottom corner of the map, and lots of caves and tunnels to found above-ground.
Alot of floating blocks, strange terrain formations, weird mountains and trees. Also has some nice archways over water channels. Has a natural cobblestone generator near the spawn and some pumpkins and cacti towards the west side of the map. Just expect to do some terraforming if you want to build anything major, though.
Most of the map is covered with snow and massive mountains. Greenery and some desert along the edges of the map.So far I have found pumpkins and sugar..then fell into a hole a bit north west of my marker and found water and lava near by each other..
Viewed from a grassy knoll, a cross hangs high above a valley of epic proportions, and yet from the wrong angle it hides from view camouflaged by the mountain beyond. Generous proportions of landscape are cut into the air by sand driven mountains and a spectacularly large looking cave entrance; though it is just a folly, it makes for a shadowed part of the journey through this land. Look up at the back of this shadowy hole, and their high above is a glimmer of sunlight. One might be think that this would be the ideal place to build a first settlement even with the lack of trees. This map has so far had 4 mob spawners.
I decided to put my GT, madanonymous into the seed input area and it turned out to be a pretty good seed, it has a fairly large snow biome with tall mountains.
You spawn in a really flat low lying area, with a bit of landscaping it is great for building on. I have currently found over 64 diamonds. It is surrounded by a massive mountainous area, with a plentiful supply of caves and resources. As you head north and east there are desert bioms and in the centre in a grass biom.
Very nice mountains on the western continent with big plateaus facing south. And it has a very nice floating island near the center of the continent. There is another mountain that looks VERY similar to the one that the waterfall can spawn on. Don't be fooled, the waterfall will be on the mountain that has a sheer drop under its southern shelf.
At the north end of the northwest continent, there is a hole in the ground that has moss stone, a mob spawner and a chest in it. If you dig straight down (very far) from inside this hole, you should find a gigantic cave system. I had to go 5-10 blocks northwest but it's very close to vertical. This cave system had (for me) 3 different obsidian deposits, diamonds, redstone, coal, iron, gold, and lapis all available at the point of entry. Also, exploring the caves revealed 3 more monster spawners with 4 more chests, and every one had plenty of moss stone. .
Another seed posted by Balpherus, but no description given. Judging from the screenshots though, this is an amazing looking seed and deserves a place at the top of this list.
All the best stuff is along the edges of this seed. The epic part of this map is at coordinates(ish)= x=350,y=200. Find the biggest freaking mountain near there. Climb it. Head west and jump off into the lake. Turn around and there's a freaking lavafall falling down from halfway up the mountain into the lake. The lava fall is about 35 blocks or more high, and the big mountain chain is twice that. There are 3-4 other epic parts of this map. The sheer size of the mountains and overhangs is ridiculous. Lots of waterfalls and a few lavafalls.
lots of snow basically the hole map lol lots of trees, sand & basically everything. If you use a capital S it's another large snow biome but in a different configuration.
snak also give snow biomes but a lot smaller.
As I entered the world generated by this seed I was immediately drawn to this natural tunnel of stone and dirt, what an awesome place to carve out a castle or build a house on top of it!
It is a pretty great seed. Lots of mountains, cliffs. Several major cave systems and so far I have found one dungeon. It's pretty heavy on resources, I have found lots of coal, iron, redstone, many others.
This seed creates a world with amazing mountains of sand, masses of rock-work filled with trees and generated caves. A great starting point for your next mining adventure.
The north section looks a lot like the screenshot for celtic. I have spawned this seed many times to check, and the north continent contains a gigantic, hollow dome with grass floor, almost the size of that mountain in the above post.
The dome has a hole in the top to let the sun in, at the base are two trees, directly under the sunlight. There is a hole on the north side of the dome that lets you watch the moon rise. Additionally, I have found that there is a waterfall on the west inside of the dome approximately 33% of the time.
The north continent of this seed has absurdly huge mountains that go from cloud level down to sea level. There are an above-average amount of trees as the name suggests. The southern landmass is more pedestrian, with a big desert area in the southwest that has one tiny waterfall oasis and a small-medium floating hill over a pool of water. The southeast is a typical tree and grass area.
Has a nice island structure + big cannons with waterfalls. Lower left of the map, is where I have built my new house, there are large cave veins with crap loads of coal in them. (I mean loads oO)
Kevin9809 did not post any information about the seed other than a screenshot, but the screenshot certainly reveals a nice view. Probably worth a mention.
This simple seed is the Goldilocks of maps. My absolute favorite. It has everything in exactly the right amount. Mountains, valleys, rolling hills, plains, forests, beaches, snow, desert, lava, water and caves. Lots of caves. Several pumpkin patches and plenty of clay. Beautiful views!
Its a great seed with lots of mountains around it, a forest joined into some plains which trails off into an "s" shaped beach, some ditches filled with water and a hole nearish to the spawn with quite a bit of lava in it.
I haven't explored a lot of it because the spawn looked so nice I wanted to build my house there right away :3.
I'm on a mountain that has its top at the same level as the clouds. A cloud has just gone through me. There are big mountains everywhere, and lots of sand. There is a narrow bridge between two of the biggest mountains. This is magnificent.
Nearly half of this map is treeless flatland which is great for big construction projects. Theres also a mountainous region with a snow biome. Dungeon cords: X:132, Y: 33, : Z:-86. Here are 2 screenshots of some of the flatland this map seed has to offer.
I found a small little sand island near the center of the map, built a little house, began digging for some mining, came across an amazing cave system about 10 levels above bedrock (apparently the best place for diamond), probably the biggest single system I've seen, seems to keep on going, this world also has lava on the surface world (small lava lakes) and some really nice looking huge cliffs as well.
anime lagoon
This seed is littered with extreme mountains that soar above the cloud lines, overhanging cliffs, deep forests, & waterfalls. It also has a very nice looking desert that surrounds a stunning lake. There are also a lot of surface caves situated around the extreme cliffs. This seed also has the biggest, & most vast cave system I have every seen In minecraft.
Apocalypse(Posted by Master_Buttchin)
The map is mostly snow, though there are patches of land throughout the edges that provide trees and undergrowth. It's mainly flat-leveled, but the geography is very organized. The map is a large "S" shape stretching from the SW corner to the NE corner. On the SE and NW corners, there are fairly large islands. With the exceptions of a few scattered chunks of land, It's a very decent setup.
My major concerns are seeds and sugar canes. They're present, but not very abundantly. Obviously, a little time can get you a large farm of resources, and there are a few warmer climates throughout the map. The lack of high mountains makes navigation a little harder, as well.
Arvind Sran(Posted by nofatasiansplz)
You spawn in a small island, and theres tons of islands around this seed.
Awesome (Posted by Madmadness65)
You spawn on a small sandy island with partial grass on it. Theres a tree with sugar cane near it and... 17 blocks of clay! I explored further and I found mountains penetrating the clouds and some plains beyond it. But you're basically off to good start with ingredients to Bricks!
Bambi(Posted by Vic_Future)
Spawned in a forest, close to a beach. What I like about this seed is the huge cave systems. I have found over 200 iron/40 gold/1 diamond/120+ redstone/40+ lapis. This is in one cave system. The forest has spans of mid to very lofty hills. Wide areas of beach. There is also a snowy hill region but I have not ventured out much, just down. I've seen one overhang so far. I should point out I am playing on peaceful. Also I am new to MC so I do not know what a dungeon looks like in relation to a deep cave. Incredibly complex caves that require little to no digging to get started. Expanses branch off, sometimes up to explore. Lava and waterfalls aplenty.
BEEBABABADABOOP(Posted by WoodenToes)
Found a pretty cool seed earlier today awesome mountains near spawn, found 2 zombie dungeons so far, unfortunately no skeleton as of yet. There is a zombie dungeon nearly at surface level.
BIG(Posted by Zschalix)
It was 90% ice/snow/ocean. All four corners have small non-icy areas. The only areas that even had dry trees were in the southwest and southeast corners... Also much of the ice had dirt or sand beneath it if you need that as well.
bill gates(Posted by Drybones_Plague)
Best Mountain Seed Ever, The Mountains to go the World Height Limit and look amazing.
Billie Jean(Posted by MadMikeChambers)
Lot of BIG mountains to the north. Also towards the center at the top of the map I found a cave system that is MASSIVE with tons of gold. Also seen a lot of other good "suprises". Underground Lavafalls/flows, and water.
Blood forge (Posted by CaptainFartSack)
It has a above ground dungeon and you spawn in a good mining spot just dig down and you will get to a big cave i found 7 diamonds down there and that was in 2 nights.
castle_flat(Posted by Covenentone)
you spawn on a beach next to a flat little area with a connected dungeon with a anything spawner "mostly spiders". The chest content are
2 Saddles
2 Redstone
3 Buckets
2 String
champions 12(Posted by D4RKSOUL5)
lots of cave systems with massive lava pools. its diamonds gallore down there
Cheese(Posted by anon_1989)
You'll start off on top of, or near, a sand pit; if you start digging through it(some blocks of sand will collapse), you'll eventually end up in an underground cave. If you make torches and pickaxes, and start exploring the catacombs, nearby, especially the one going up, near the waterfall, you'll eventually find yourself in one, huge, messy cavern, full of catacombs, rich in coal and iron, and if you go deep enough in it, you'll find a good size(large) lava lake with a small vein of diamonds, above it.
I haven't explored much of the world, far from the cavern, but it looks like there are pits, leading to other caverns, scattered across the land, which is mostly tundra. There's a good size(huge) mountain, nearby, that pokes through the clouds. I've also checked out another nearby area, where an arch appears to be floating above a small mountain, almost making a complete loop; it has an exposed lavafall, there.
Chemical Plant (Posted by ThatRandomGuy42)
A very interesting seed. It a massive frozen ocean with huge snowy mountains. There are no trees from my experience.
Coming soon!(Posted by DUPPYCONQUEROR)
I found 8 dungeons so far, one with a music disc. Plus its very iron rich. Has some nice over hangs on mountains not too tall for nice size buildings. There is forest, snow, plains and 2 small desert biomes all on one big island. Not much water.
Covact Realm (Posted by Covact)
Great map with large islands in the corners of the world with large ocean in center. Two corners has large mountains and the other are flat areas. Clay, iron, coal are right at starting point. After exploring a bit I found a very large cave in a mountain. Basically its a hollow mountain. It's 39 blocks high by at least 50 across with 3 cave systems going down from it. Several water falls and lava but that doesn't matter any since I'll just make it the way I want anyway. Don't know diamond or gold but assume down there somewhere.
Covenant, Unbeliever(Posted by ubergine)
It's quite a good, balanced world for anyone who likes a realistic place. The spawn point is at the base of a mountain above cloud height with access to sand and grassy fields. There's desert to the "south", frozen waste's to the "north" with a good cloud-high mountain in the "northeast" and the map is almost entirely landlocked but there is a seaside style area to the "west" that's big enough for a decent port/pirate city. Incidentally there's an epic cave system under the seaport area.
Dead Mau5
Dead Mau5 is another well known seed, which contains multiple things. One of them being a Skeleton Dungeon with x3 Saddles, x6 Iron, x3 Buckets and x3 Redstone. There are some amazing sights, and there are also flying mountains with multiple waterfalls.
Deleptacombie(Posted by kronoseBulzeeb)
it spawns you near a realy weird looking overhang mountain good for a base and it has lots of flat grassy flatland sand beaches rocky mountains and at least 3 surface lava falls and it has oceans all around and lots of islands the only thing this place dont have is snow there is a zombie dungean in the sandy beach in the middle of the map also
Diamonds, diamonds everywhere!
I've seen multiple users mention this one over time. It's said to contain a huge lava flow, a massive floating mountain above a zombie dungeon, and some really amazing sights.
Diamonds Forever(Posted by billnyeizzle)
Spawns you close to a HUGE mountain with a valley going towards the mountain. I dug into the mountain, made a base, then dug a stairway down and found some MASSIVE caves with some good resources.
don't be -0 (Posted by MURROAK)
This is a very epic seed floating masses, snowing mountain tops, deserts, above ground spawner. Pretty much everything you want in a map waterfalls lava falls. Clay up the Yong Yang I have 20 stacks right now just passed up another ten just to leave some for my friends.
Oh on more thing over hangs and floating mountains good spot for mushroom garden.
dukenukem (Posted by Splinta2010)
As soon as you start this map, find some trees, make a workbench then a boat and search the map by water and you will find lots of clay. An area where I have found the most so far is @ (x:210 z;24). Not too far from where you start (on a tiny little sand island) their is a cave where you will find bread, iron ingots, string, bread, coco beans,2 buckets and a saddle. Lots of trees and overhangs and caverns.
Now to start building my brick house.
Eden(Posted by Atheosis)
A combination of gentle, mild terrain with some nice mountains and at least one very impressive cave system.
Elfen Lied
Epic World with a lot of Caves, huge Hills, nice Valleys. Screenshots and Vids of the PC-Version can be found per google.
Description from diatech.
epic (Posted by derlandor)
Found more then a 1000 clay. Follow the coast Lines. It has snow biome in the South corners. Its a awsome map.
flatgrass(Posted by KingKoolAid)
A good well rounded seed, you spawn on the edge of a small island, not far from two other similar sized islands, next to one large island, with a very large, flat plateau, a couple of TNT blocks on a small hill and it will easily offer a large 100X100 + space! To reach this area, go south-east from the spawn. Brilliant for Mansion builds and starting towns in Multiplayer!
Flynn13751(Posted by Jester375)
An all ice map with a massive continent and some amazing mountain views.
Frozen's World(Posted by Frozensword14)
most of my world is covered in snow and the water is mostly iced over. One of the caves (if you find it) is huge if you dig a little into it containing two dungeons, underground waterfalls (with squids), and some lava lakes. The world has a few small forests that aren't covered with snow. I decided to talk about my seed here because someone said it was a rare seed that I discovered.
gargamel
Well known seed, which spawns you inside a dark cavern. Once you manage to get out you will find yourself surrounded by steep mountains and rough land.
Gersch(Posted by NyteWyrm)
Generates lots of small caves full of dead ends, we had a lot of trouble getting deep. However, 2 hours into the game we had 9 and a half stacks of iron and a small chest of coal. Dual skeleton spawners can also be found directly below a mountain shaped like an upside-down L.
Glacier
A well known Seed , Glacier spawns you next to a ton of mountains, some of them are partly flying. Some of the sights are simply amazing.
God Frog(Posted by Alchemilla)
A map which contains tons of forestland and trees, high mountains and some nice lakes.
gohugyourmomkid(Posted by hvyhtrs)
Try the seed for real epic overhangs. It's hard to describe but search the whole map and you will see what i mean.....found it when my son was bugging me for hugs for about an hour so I said gohugyourmomkid.....turns out to be the best seed i have found so far.
Gun Dream(Posted by FearlesRoja)
It has lots of hills, trees, and excellent cave systems.
ha ha funn13(Posted by LividJava)
Within 50 blocks from the spawn point, there are 2 dungeons. A spider and skeleton spawner are in these two dungeons.
HappyVille(Posted by lostchicken147)
A mix of every biome is there. Good land for building. Crazy cave systems, make sure you bring a shovel. Lots of dungeons, ive counted 6 so far, accessed from the caves just dig through dirt and gravel patches. Sugar cane.Large forests. I dont know if its the world but there is a lot of wolfs spread round the map. You spawn next to a forest, a desert hill, and a cave full of coal.
Harpy Dragoon(Posted by matthew712)
Found perhaps one of the coolest seeds I've seen so far. It has more land than water(a first for the seeds I've found. Has one HUGE land mass that covers most of the bottom of the map, then some water, then another rather large land mass. Has some awesome hills/valleys/ravines/plateaus. Even has some surface lava. Biomes seem to be mostly forest with a large desert biome in the bottom left corner of the map.
hellultimatemodes (Posted by modofit)
You spawn in the woods but this particular wood is filled with tones of wolves... and by tones I mean over 50 wolves, 56 is the number I had tamed in the 20 minutes i played the world (I spawned bones) but it looks to be a really good seed!
Herne(Posted by Scorpius1981)
havent really explored much, but has some dry-looking savanah and a HUGE forested mountain area with epic mountain formations and arches.
Hillside (Posted by Provacative)
It's kind off, self explanatory.. it's just got mass amounts of hills. They aren't just any ordinary hills, they're got arches, waterfalls, caves running inside the hills ect.
Homestuck(Posted by DarkJazz)
You spawn on top a tree, with tons of trees and hilly terrain. To the left is water and near the sand is a two block high doorway that enters into a pretty extensive cave system. Seemingly plenty of Coal, Iron and Mushrooms can be found.
Idiotic (Posted by DireHardkiller)
This is a perfect seed for having 8 different islands right in the middle so that each person on a server can have there own island. Didn't explore the whole thing but at a quick glance it looked like it had all the essentials...that being cacti, pumpkins, clay, etc.
If Your Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands(Posted by goldenleader01)
On the top left part of the map there is a huge mountain. Tons of trees, reeds, and a desert.
Isla Nublar(Posted by STEMM_monster)
In case you didn't know this is the name of the island in the movie Jurassic Park. It is a pretty amazing seed with excellent scenery. The landscape consists of forests and deserts. When you spawn you should be in a lake in the middle of a desert. If you stay within the desert (don't go into the surrounding forests) and continue walking south, you should find a large chasm. And directly beside it is yet another massive chasm
Jazzytopia (Posted by NightRise)
The map has a gaint mountain with a hole in it making the top a huge land brigde, with a pillar holding it up, and a large floating island very close to it. This is around x:158, y:72, z:0. There are pumpkins in the top right landmass of the map. There are multiple (around 5) lava lakes around the map. In the bottom left corner of the map there is an island with huge mountains with expansive caves going through them, and many waterfalls. At the back of this island there is also a cave behind a waterfall (at base of ocean) which has a dungen in it. I think a dungen behind a water fall is cool, and the mountains, and floating island also add to this map. There is also a surface dungen at the bottom of the map near the bottom left island (its on a beach). There are also lots of cool caves, a several huge chasmlike caves, and lots of other cool terrain and views. The origional spawn seems to be random, but im not sure. I hope this map is added and enjoyed as it is one of my favorites.
Jolly Old Kerika (Posted by Kelthane)
his seed is just downright amazing! It has:
Incredibly high mountains with many arcs, extensions, platforms, etc.
It is very green (lots of giant trees)
Many animals
Excessively large caves (me and my bro spent 40 minutes just exploring a cave, not even mining)
Open lava pits
If you guys want to try it out go ahead, it has a lot of amazing features, great for exploration, and you can do a decent amount of building with it as well!
Kainoa(Posted by Kainoa25)
You spawn looking at a dirt wall but turn around to huge mountains with a lot of overhangs and a pretty good sized floating island with a tree on it. Travel to the right hugging the mountain to find a mob spawner. Continue to travel to find a lava flow going down a decent sized hill. Lot's of high mountains penetrating cloud level.
Labrat (Posted by Fall0ut007)
You will get islands, not just one, you will get big ones small ones and sand ones, and i noticed this but one of the islands upside down is the oblivion symbol.
LAND OF THE LOST (Posted by Olford)
There is one main island in the center riddled with high mountains and too many trees. Little islands surrounding. 2 surface lava pools ,cactus, sugar cane, good supply of pumpkins, crazy cave systems and I've found 3 dungeons so far.
LoSTchICkeN147(Posted by lostchicken147)
I used my Xbox gamer tag and it is an interesting world. There are 2 large deserts. Vast amounts of ocean with medium sized islands scattered around containing sugar cane. Good looking and awesome mountains and hills, even some sand cliffs in the deserts. Spawn area is connecting a desert to a large flat land that then connects to the mountainous area. Ore veins on the surface in the large flat area.
LMON(Posted by BrokenNova55)
This is a seed past the update that I have started playing on. There are some flat areas big enough for houses and some relatively large mountains/hills. You basically spawn on a connecting isthmus between a bigger continent and a smaller one. The bigger one (north) is grassy and full of hills and trees. The smaller one (south) has a giant desert. An oceanish area surrounds the place. To the west there is a good amount of clay. I had five 64 stacks after 20 minutes of searching. I have not searched the east yet but it just appears to be more ocean. There is also a small above ground lava fall to the west that falls into the ocean. I highly recommend this map. The seed name is LMON, with capital letters. It stands for Last Man On Nether. Sometimes though, the map seed doesn't load the right map for some reason, if this happens, try the seed LMOE. This one is nearly the same thing. Not to mention LMOE stands for Last Man On Earth...
medieval (Posted by blisful)
Its a very cool seed containing lots of trees and wherever you go the is cave systems these contain lots of coal and iron and there is a dungeon just near the spawn in a cave.
Metal Gear Solid(Posted by Shinji_Ex)
Nearly the whole map is land with some sand thrown into the mix.
MegaT(Posted by MegaTrain)
Good mix of biomes (all except snow). Islands, mountains, desert, lots of great forest.
Complex island chain with lots of skinny boat passages.
Lots of mountain overhangs and outcrops, plus some good flat land and what looks like a natural sand ampitheater.
Lots of clay patches in the south-west island coasts, and on the very north shore.
Cactus, sugarcane, at least one patch of pumpkins
Surface dungeon at (-295, 60,-149)
Narrow open pit to a lava flow in the desert at (-356, 71, -369)

you will enter a world full of high mountains, deep valleys, and even a great building spot that appears to be floating above water. also great for multiple bases which could be connected by rail system. this seed def has plenty to offer as far as building ideas go.

Nates187(Posted by Nates187)
Starts you on the edge of a desert and forest biome with an ocean able to be seen to the east on your map. I restarted a few times to make sure it kept the same general topography. i started playing it 2 days ago but the first 2 cave systems I explored netted over 400 iron, 1k coal, 1k redstone, 65 gold, 5 diamonds, and countless lava and water falls with little to no digging. Also many flowers, trees, and cactus. No pumpkins yet but only explored 1/3 the map so far.
The 2 major cave systems are very easy to find. The first is east and slightly south. Just off the coast where the forest meets the sea. 3 entrances, all large holes in the ground. The second system is due north of your spawn in the desert biome easily distinguished by a lake large enough to show on map. The enterance is on the north side of the lake on a hillside wall.
Notched Pickaxe(Posted by KvoxelS)
That was a unique item found at the throat of the world in skyrim, the highest peak in the game so I was pleased to find that this used as a seed generated a very interesting map filled with snow covered peaks reaching the clouds, caverns, ravines, lakes, forests and desert areas too, plenty of variation with some quite scenic locations, I recall one epic waterfall almost 3/4 the height of the tallest peak. In fact it seemed quite uncanny to the point where I found myself searching for the iconic location in skyrim known as Solitude, sadly though I had little time to explore before bed. I highly recommend checking this one out.
Notch is DEAD(Posted by NyteWyrm)
Generates some wierd landscapes, trees floating 20+ blocks in the air on single blocks of grass and a floating 3 block thick sheet of sand directly NORTH of spawn. The sand is used as a mob farm by us, and it spans 22x23 blocks at 5 height off ground. Reminded us of Notch failing at worldedit, so we named our house Notch's Failure.
OMG(Posted by DAdeathkid)
I found like 2 zombie dungeons and 1 spider. The first zombie dungeon is near the spawn, you walk straight and you see a cave go in and you will see the dungeon.
omnipotent(Posted by Srloin)
I am currently using this seed and I seem to run into underground caverns no matter where I dig. There are very deep lakes and some mid-sized mountains.
I have found 3 dungeons so far in these mazes of caverns. Lava seems very abundant in these caverns as well. At one location I found a lava lake and a large water fall right next to each other. After re-routing the water I was able to collect a stack of obsidian without to much effort.
I have found sugarcane, pumkins, cactus all right around the beginning spawn. I have yet to find clay.

90% Land, it has some awesome mountains, lots of trees, lava waterfalls and a cool desert. Also contains a large amount of flowers and roses, too. I have not explored any caves yet, but the world itself is excellent quality and great for those who prefer a map of land, rather than water.
It has lots of caves on ground level, lots of mountains, and a flat land if you look around.
P.S you spawn in water.
Pokeylucky (Posted by BlainePrewitt_Death)
An amazing waterfall and massive overhangs as well as awesome caves, water sources, lava and lots of clay!!

This seed has LOTS OF CLAY! Right at the spawn is a lake filled with clay. I was able to extract a lot of clay from just a few minutes of digging.
potterverse (Posted by SoulxxBond)
It has A LOT of sand in areas of the map but a lot of grass and trees and stuff too. Found a ton of cactus... there has to be close to 100 cacti on the map. Found quite a bit of clay in spots... enough for perhaps 6 or 7 full (64) clay piles so far and haven't searched everywhere... found at least 10 sugar cane stalks as well and 6 pumpkins so far. A bit of snow in one area, not much... haven't explored the whole map though.
Pulp Nonfiction(Posted by Demonicbeandip)
with this seed you spawn near an open lava pit in the middle of the world. Open spaces covered in grass...the most grass I've seen in this game. A little snow near the edges of the map and some floating mountain structures litter the outcroppings of very large mountains. A side note I found many open caves with a lot of coal and iron as well as diamonds.
Quesadila(Posted by tomsterbom4)
You spawn right next to a double dungeon, skeleton and zombie. with nice things in the chests with a huge overhang, like, really huge, check this out, caves are quite decent too, add it to the list please and check it out, awesome seed.
RandomlyGeneratedMap (Posted by Rexaryinou)
It's fairly decent, has lots of open flat areas but also a bunch of really cool mountains and overhangs notably one near -131, 85, 116.
There appear to be a decent number of pumpkins, I've only looked around a small portion of this map and both times found pumpkins, cacti and cane, but I'm not sure about clay.

Robinson (Posted by illsQillz)
I believe this seed is THE richest I've come across so far (other than the known ones). Across the whole map there are multiple cave entrances. Which seem to be somehow almost all connected. Iron an coal are in abundance also gold is easy to find. Almost everywhere i mine about 30-35 blocks down there are lava and water flows. The map has a sand plain located in the middle and is surrounded with small hills. Further out the hills get higher. Lots of trees, and snow is also available in abundance. I've found 2 monster spawns so far one which is located near the initial spawn. ( on the beach there is a block of 3 by 4 carved out just dig there and you'll fin the first one) the second one is about 128-200 blocks far from the first one underneath some strange mountain connected to water. About 60 to 100 blocks down.ill note the coordinates as soon as i get them.
ryn(Posted by BIGIR0NNUTZ)
There is several open caves near spawn, one of which includes a spider dungeon right on the surface. It has two chests, but I won't list the contents if you don't wish to know them. Other than that, a lot of it is unexplored. It does have a huge tundra biome though.
s(Posted by MajorAPayne)
It basically gives a mostly green biome (one small areas of snow). Trees are plentiful so wood isn't a problem. Clay is also seemingly plentiful. I've come across no less than 12 places to get it from. The spawn area seems a big larger than on some maps I've previously played (6 different locations, but most likely more). Unfortunately I've yet to come across any dungeons but this is a map I plan to use from now on.
I tried that and the area you start in is a desert. A good portion of that island is a desert but the rest of the map is green/forested. There is a cool half-open dome of sand with water on the inside near the initial spawn.
Scorpius(Posted by Scorpius1981)
A lot of forest, some cool mountains too. Came across a deep hole (fell in reading map, almost died!) slightly to the south-east of the middle of the map. Turned out to be a HUGE cave system. Loaded with iron, coal, red stone. Seen some gold, Still havent finished exploring so no clue if diamonds are there.

This seed has nothing special about it apart form at x-185 y 66 z 400 there is a very close resemblance to survival island. land is visible around it but there are not many survival island seeds and I though this one had very little land and was remote enough to class as one.

Cactus & pumpkins abound.
A bit of surface coal.
Spawned near a lake - found over 120 clay
Tons of wheat grass
Smattering of sugarcane
2 large shallw cave/overhangs with water below.
1 beautiful waterfall.
Oasis type areas in sandy patches.

World Seed has nearly the same theme as Bethesda's video game. Left side of the map land and snow decent bluffs and forest. At the top left hand corner some lava coming out of mountain going almost into the ocean towards the middle top of the map. Right side of the map a lot of frozen over ocean and few islands in the top right side of the map

mostly one huge landmass with massive overhangs and arches everywhere. lots of trees to suit your needs. just south of spawn is an arch string with a heart shaped lagoon. Standing in the lagoon, looking at the arches, dig in the right most leg of the "m" for a great cave system with a zombie dungeon. At the top of the map is a nice chain of small to mid sized islands. The bottom of the map has a nice sized plains good for a small village or big build. To the west of that is a nice sized desert. spider dungeon near top in that desert. Gotta dig around for a bit. no clay sadly

Super Natural (Posted by FearTheBurrito)
If anyone is interested in a ridiculously harsh seed for a survival game, check out Super Natural. It's not very scenic, but it certainly would present a survival challenge. About 90% of the map is covered in snow and ice - making it difficult to spot surface ores. There are VERY few pockets of trees to be had and unfrozen water is even somewhat scarce. While most of the map is pretty flat, there is one area of VERY extreme mountains. There are many hidden and sunken caves so even walking about can be a challenge. In my tour around the world, I did find sugar cane and one small pocket of clay, but I failed to spot any cactus.
tandragon(Posted by MadMikeChambers)
Right at the spawn point, if you turn around. You will see a lot of Pumpkins. If y9ou head to the center of the map you will see the BIGGEST waterfall ever with a huge mountain. There is a small cave system within the mountain that has a very small lava flow. So far it seems to be a big island, with some flat terrain also.
tea and crumpets(Posted by BlueMaus)
It has several different themed areas close to the spawn, including desert hills with river valleys between them, a forest teeming with trees and wildlife, a massive mountain with some floating islands around it, a giant dark pit in which monsters spawn even in the daytime, and of course, lots of enormous cave systems with fantastic treasure. Lacks clay and has very little snow.
terraria (Posted By Hades123)
There is a huge valley surrounded by mountains and has a lot of trees in it and a wierd toilet bowl looking thing at the top of the valley but you spawn at the way bottom middle left. you spawn on a faily big continent with 2 i peninsulas that shear of on the left, one is a desert that points off to the bottom left and a northern green one that points north. i havent explored the top of the map but the enitre continent has a lot of mountains, valleys small deserts, plains and a few snow biomes. and a good chunk of the north still missing i dont have images yet but when my friends gets on ill get them.
THEBLACKTHORNE(Posted by MadMikeChambers)
Spawns you betweeen 3 HUGE mountains, one has a lavafall that pours right into a lake. Between two of the mountains there is a bridge made of dirt connecting them. Upon further exploration I came across a very tall but slim mountain with a waterfall. However in the waterfall there was a squid trapped in it o.O. This map seems to have everything. I will most likely be playing this one myself.
Thefutureisblack(Posted by ice625)
To the northwest, there is a HUGE mountainous forest that covers a fourth of the map. Below the forest is a snowy mountainous place and to the southwest of the snow area is a flat plain. These three areas make up what I call the West Mainland. To the very southeast, east of the plains is what I call the Isles of Snow and Ice. North of the Isles of Snow and Ice is an uninteresting relatively flat area I call the East Mainland. North of the East Mainland, next to a triangular shaped lake thingy is the Northeast Lands. I saw an open, exposed lava pool in my travels but forgot where it was. And of course, many dungeons. I'll try to put in some coordinates:
Gravel Opening (Where I built my home): X: -121, Y: 66, Z: -180
Center of the Huge Forest: X: -185, Y: 69, Z: -171
North tip of Snowy Mountains: X: -157, Y: 79, Z: 4

Isles of Snow and Ice: X: 208, Y: 72, Z: 348

Great Map. Has Pumpkins, a nice sized desert with cacti, Plains and a forest. Still Exploring. Fairly Small Snow biome ( big enough that there would be plenty of snow to gather).
TPlush(Posted by btodaa)
I spawned near a small pond, looking at a cave entrance. Inside the cave, almost directly under the entrance was a mob spawner (had it on peaceful, so not sure what), with two chest. They held a music disc, 4/5 iron ingots, 3 bread, 3 wheat, some string, 3 redstone, and some gunpowder. Did a little exploring and found a couple areas near the spawn that would be nice for building (though you might need to clear some trees and a little dirt), a lava pool, and some snow.
WhatinTheHeck??(Posted by Mean_JT)
I like it cause is has all three major climates . Big snowy mountain on the lower right. Big epic sand and stone mountain on the upper right that goes into and above the clouds. Lots of exposed ore ready to be mined. Lots of forest in between the two with very large trees ready to cut down.. Near the base of the snow mountain is a flat lava pool so large it can be seen on the map as a red spot. Along with that there are a few other lava pools and and lava flow. There was only one pumpkin that I found during a quick run through. But lots of cactus and sugarcane and sheep. I don't know if the spawning was just random or what, but I collected over a stack of white wool just from running around for a few minutes. Just found this seed last night so I still checking out the cave systems that are everywhere. I'll post more if I find anything amazing.
World(Posted by MineGoose)
On the seed I found 2 stacks of clay so far,but 90% of the map is yet to be explored. I found this cool crater that is like 10-15 blocks deep that leads into LOADS of different caves that keep on going. There is a load of Iron and Coal, and I found 8 Diamonds randomly. Last but not least, there is huge mountains and one has a GIANT tree on it.
World 1(Posted by nipon621)
World 1 has a very tropical feel, mostly due to the abundance of trees, sand, grass, water and stone all mashed together. It basically consists of atolls and 3 main land masses. There are three reasons you should look into it. One of them is the otherwise floating mountain which is supported by three rock formations - it overlooks the ocean. Next is a pillar of stone 1 block wide that goes nearly up to the skybox - a big tree is growing on top of it. Thirdly, there is a perfectly sized eroded island nearly in the middle of the map, but pretty close to a main island - it has exposed coal, and would be perfect for a modest tower fortress (not barad dur). Alas, there is no snow on the map though...
youtube(Posted by RevengeOnCreepers)
This seed has a fairly large snow biome, and if you go over the mountain in front of where you spawn and look to your left, you should see a waterfall. There is also a cave with a dungeon in the area.

You spawn an a small sandy island. Look around, and find 8 clay, right next to you! Head to the mainland, and you will find lagoons, surface iron, extreme hills, enormous mountains, and just plain ridiculously epic (or even "stupidly epic") overhangs and bridges of land suspended over green tree-filled pastures, dotted with small lakes and caves. This world is rich in resources, and possible the best Xbox seed yet!

You spawn next to a coast with iron on the suface. This seed is great for building large scale, towns, or RPG's as it is mostly land. Eastern continent is almost totally flat with huge mountains in the distance few trees and a mob spawner that doesnt need to be dug and has 2 saddles. An awesome pirate cove kind of island with a large almost perfect rectangle cut out by water perfect for boat building. Snow island in the northwest large forest to the south. I have found 60 diamonds in a matter of 3 hours and 3 stacks of 64 brick upon first spawn just walking around the edges.

I just ran the surface to uncover the map but it has all 3 types of trees, cactus, sugarcane, pumpkins (I've found about 20), snow and desert. There is also some really good building spots in the valleys of cloud high mountains.

The map has flat areas and mountains in really good balance, and the arrangement of the biomes feels almost realistic. The north is mostly winter with flat areas, some gentle sloping areas and some mountains. The spawn is at the foot of a big mountain surround by relatively flat forest, with sand and lava nearby. The middle third of the map is mainly forest and the south is mainly desert and plains. There is a small section of islands to the west. Main downside to the map is (as far as I can tell) very little clay.
Dungeons:
Easy to access and has a saddle in it at x-190 y 69 z-159 (in a hillside on the shore of the frozen lake.)
at bottom of sinkhole near western seaside (ride waterfall down to bottom, to the left of waterfall is two block high gap, dig in that direction and dungeon is around corner of cave, also way into massive cave system) x-273 y29 z69
near central spawn, easy to access through cave near central spawn, there are 6 easy diamonds just past a cave with naturally occuring obsidian, always the first diamonds I find on this map. x-104 y28 z 61 (dig down to cave with obsidian - or up from it!)
Clay co-ords:
X-141 Z-217 (84 blocks)
x-324 Z136 (15 blocks)
x-400 z-344(70 blocks)
Large deposits under ice lake: x-156 z-242, x-117 z-250
x-256 z 128 (12b)
x-366 z 142 (15b)
x-346 z 171 (57b)
x-288 z 171 (18b)
(there's a bunch of 1-3 block locations too which are pretty self evident if you are exploring.)
A lot of amazing overhangs, a large flat plain area and a large forest area. I'm not sure about resources because I've not mined much yet but coal and iron is plentiful on the surface.

No screenshots at the moment but there are a ton of caves & deep ravines (many of which I've found diamond in without having to dig very far - just enough to break into the next cave system) & several overhangs reminiscent of the spectacular ones in 729. More important, though, are several very easy to find diamonds - just have a poke round in a few of the caves. The land is flatter than 729 & has larger plains better suited for large structures. 704 also has more snow than 729 but has less trees (although still more than enough for a while). No pumpkins in 704 though...lol. Haven't found a dungeon yet but I haven't really been looking...if anyone tries 704 out & finds something interesting, I'd be interested to hear about it.

Great ice/snow seed. All the water is frozen over (except along the map boundaries which I believe is normal) and the entire terrain is all snow excepet for 3 small patches of grass but they barely show when up looking at the map. Plenty of flat area to build and I've only explored a few cave systems in the lower left of the map, but if the rest are similar, should make for easy mining (pre-mined cavern looking/open caves).

I haven't really explored this seed too much. You should spawn in a clearing with a few trees nearby. As you look around you see nothing out of the ordinary; trees here and there, a little sand, and hold on a minute....HUGE mountains. This seed really took my breath away with it's vast landscape; there are trees everywhere, caves everywhere, and the ginourmous mountains are amazing. There are mountains all aound that reach the clouds, and valleys galore. I definitely reccomend checking this one out!

So far I've found a ton of iron and plenty of caverns underground. Not so much diamond yet, but just beginning to branch mine in an attempt to find more. I don't know if the extensive caverns are because of the latest update, but regardless, they've been very impressive. I have 3 different places where I have settled and each one has a lot of mining opportunities. I still have about 1/4 of the map left to explore so hopefully I find more cool stuff and a little more clay.

I don't have a nice word for it, but it was quite cool to me. A massive underground cave system that only required mining a few blocks to navigate around (and even then it's just to make holes that are already there wider). It starts near the spawn point, and can get you to the SE corner of the map.
EDIT:Seeds may not be as described on site , because xbox version is different.
Obviously all seeds for versions after 1.6.6 will not be the same at all.
So this info may not be 100% accurate. Go ahead though and test some maps , I have tried a few and some work.
Because of the map size difference between the PC and the MCXB360 there is no guarantee the maps will even be close to how they look for the PC version. I have tried out a good number of them and none of them look even close to the pics posted on this link. This thread should be about xbox only seeds that have been tested with hopefully pictures attached so people can get a honest look at the terrain.
I'll make an update, later, this weekend, with pictures about this seed.
Cheese
This seed starts you fairly close to a lava pool that can be seen as a red dot near the center of the map.
The large northern part of the map consists of massive mountains that touch the sky and then shear off sharply at the top of the map.

Probably my favorite seed of all time: Fel Chakra .. I will try to get some screenshots up in a bit(Gotta upload em to facebook then to here, haha)

Couldn't figure out how to edit my post so here are my screenshots for Fel Chakra (there are so many more awesome things to look at but it'd take forever.)
I think I found a new seed. I have been playing on it since I got the game. I put Frozen's World in mine, and most of my world is covered in snow and the water is mostly iced over. One of the caves (if you find it) is huge if you dig a little into it containing two dungeons, underground waterfalls (with squids), and some lava lakes. The world has a few small forests that aren't covered with snow. I decided to talk about my seed here because someone said it was a rare seed that I discovered.
Isla Nublar
In case you didn't know this is the name of the island in the movie Jurassic Park. It is a pretty amazing seed with excellent scenery. The landscape consists of forests and deserts. When you spawn you should be in a lake in the middle of a desert. If you stay within the desert (don't go into the surrounding forests) and continue walking south, you should find a large chasm. And directly beside it is yet another massive chasm.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary, full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen." - Sterling Archer, aka "Duchess", aka "world's most dangerous spy".
At the north end of the northwest continent, there is a hole in the ground that has moss stone, a mob spawner and a chest in it. If you dig straight down (very far) from inside this hole, you should find a gigantic cave system. I had to go 5-10 blocks northwest but it's very close to vertical.
The point is, this cave system had (for me) 3 different obsidian deposits, diamonds, redstone, coal, iron, gold, and lapis all available at the point of entry. Also, exploring the caves revealed 3 more monster spawners with 4 more chests, and every one had plenty of moss stone.

Retired StaffThis is an updated list containing Seeds that work for the 360, and their descriptions.

While exploring, I have also found a few dungeons. I got a music disk, some iron ingots, saddles, cocoa beans, wheat, bread, and string from them. There's plenty of coal and iron.

My major concerns are seeds and sugar canes. They're present, but not very abundantly. Obviously, a little time can get you a large farm of resources, and there are a few warmer climates throughout the map. The lack of high mountains makes navigation a little harder, as well.

- Incredibly high mountains with many arcs, extensions, platforms, etc.
- It is very green (lots of giant trees)
- Many animals
- Excessively large caves (me and my bro spent 40 minutes just exploring a cave, not even mining)
- Open lava pits
If you guys want to try it out go ahead, it has a lot of amazing features, great for exploration, and you can do a decent amount of building with it as well!Kainoa (Posted by Kainoa25)

I have found sugarcane, pumkins, cactus all right around the beginning spawn. I have yet to find clay.

This seed starts you fairly close to a lava pool that can be seen as a red dot near the center of the map.
The large northern part of the map consists of massive mountains that touch the sky and then shear off sharply at the top of the map.

THERE HAS TO BE A SEED CALLED GREEN HILL.
it's only logic
