I belive there should be a dvd version of Minecraft for xbox, my xbox is banned from live (bought it alredy like that) (i dont have money to buy original games, we use that money for more important things, and also the games are quite expensive here) so i cant play the game, and i really want it, even if i have to play on an outdated version for the rest of my xbox's live, i would play it, so please, consider lauching a DVD version of it.

I kinda like the idea of getting a disk version of Minecraft for the Xbox. (bigger worlds made easier?) However, I do not want to pay for the game again.

Actually it would be a downgrade in fps and loading speed. Games run better when they are run straight from the harddrive instead of having to be read from a disc.

True, but wouldn't installing the game to your HDD fix the issue for the most part?
Well yeah , but its like that with any game. I don't like playing skyrim unless its installed , loads so much better.
Well thank god minecraft isn't a big game like that! (not yet on the Xbox 360 version anyways) I think if we just installed it to the HDD it should run okay. BUT, if we did have worlds with 70,000x70,000 on the Xbox,(I could be wrong about dimensions!) I agree that there is no guarantee that it would be 60 fps.
I don't see any advantages to a disk version. It would have limited space and would be slower. I guess a disk would allow you to get the game if you were not able to get online, i.e. your parents will not buy xbox live. But on the note that your xbox was banned! I am sorry, but I dont want to pay more for the game. People who mod their xbox and steal from the wonderful companys that bring us this great stuff, cause the price to skyrocket. Not to mention the developers of the game need to get paid so that they can afford to buy their own xbox live membership. Problem is, i have only 13 years, so i cant make money (i will most probably gain some, my parents will create a bank account or something like that for me to use for myself and to probably buy a plot on where to build my house when im grown up, but i also want to donate to my fav Minecraft Server, and we alredy have this xbox we bought alredy banned from my cousin, so we wont get another, and for another reason, i dont want to pay like R$ 50,00 (reais, its the currency in Brazil) for EACH GAME - we dont have that much money, my parents work on home and gain around a minimum salary and my older bro is making college for arts (hes 31 btw) and our middle bro lives on the country's capital, he makes quite a bit of money, but i dont see him using R$ 600,00 - 1000,00 (between 300 and some 600 dollars i belive, im not good with economy) to buy a new xbox only for Minecraft and maybe some other games - wich would be some 25, 30 dollars).

I would suggest that you include the fact that you bought the xbox already banned, it may help people understand your situation in the futre. Write to both Mojang and 4J to see if they can make it happen...I remember seeing something like this, I believe it was a marine that loved Bastion and couldn't download it where he was stationed so they made him a disk and sent it out to him.

But a kid with a banned Xbox (even know you may have not caused the ban) seems highly unlikely. Best thing to do is save up and get a new/ used Xbox from a store. Also you don't need Xbox gold membership to download games. You just need it to play online. So you can try creating a new gamer tag and try getting online. Or just wait a while, sometimes Microsoft drops banns and suspensions when they do major updates.

The only problem i would have with the disc version is us paying for it, but maybe notch will sell it cheap? 10 bucks I would be okay with, because realistically it cost money to do anything. So it's like free, but we just pay for the cost of us being able to pick up the disc version in stores.
I wasn't saying that Notch will mass produce the game on disc's but maybe make an exception.

It can be quite late for this, but i have Fallout New Vegas on disk, loading speed is quite resonable, world is HUGE, graphic are MUCH BETTER than those of Minecraft, and it takes in max 1 min to load, but its generally 40 - 50 seconds to load a new place, and it also runs very good with only few and rare lag spikes, so i belive Minecraft would better or just like this i belive.
But guys, this is a discussion/sugestion thread, feel free to discuss about the idea, or sugest something new, i blive ill eventually make a more formal thread, IF you guys like the idea of a disk version that is.

I know that theres ppl who hack their xbox, my bro had quite alot of job to make the xbox work in HD (he changed the place of of the cables if i remember well), in my town the only good place to get games (2 markets that sell pretty much all you can imagine, and most if not everything is pirated) sell copies mostly, i belive they keep the original, make copies out of them and sell.
