Would you prefer for any glitches to be fixed or would you want Minecraft to be updated to a later version, like 1.0?
I personally would rather Mojang fix any glitches to make the game as great as it can. I feel like if they just focus on porting the current PC version, there'll be too many bugs and ruin the game's performance.
I would settle for 1.7.3 with most bugs being fixed. The reason why I say 1.7 is that I don't feel like the 360 could handle 1.8 or higher without enlarging the worlds and making lots of lag in the process. Strongholds always spawn at least 600 blocks away from spawn, which the current version would not currently be able to handle, due to world limitations.
Also, maybe a hybrid version of 1.7 and the best features, like new AI, eating, melon/pumpkin farming, and abandonded mineshafts, would be nice and not have too much lag.
I just sort of rambled on there but what do other people think about this?
Mojang isn't actually making the 360 version, it's 4J Studios. I just wanted to point that out.
OT: I think that they should just take their time with the updates. They don't need to update quickly. I'd prefer for the next version to be the equivalent of 1.7, but with as many bugs fixed as they can. If it were to take a few months, I'd be fine with it, as I have my PC version. One thing they should concentrate on is larger worlds, which can be done slowly to be certain of stability.
After Beta 1.8 I really won't care about anything else because I will have take over the End as my main area.
Actually, the end wasn't added until 1.0.0, which is the version after 1.8. I doubt they'll add strongholds unless they change the world size, or make them spawn closer to spawn.

Although the game is fine at the state it is at for now.
