My son was playing in his created world with a friend. They were in the Underworld (not sure what you call it) when my son's friend killed my son. My son says that when he was killed, he was running over small pieces of bedrock that make the walls. After he died, he left the game without ever respawning or saving the game. Now. whenever he goes to the map that he created, he spawns in a world which has endless bedrock floor and endless red sky. He is unable to kill himself. I think that it may be possible that he is respawning in a wall of the Underworld rather than on the normal floor. Is there any way to get him to respawn somewhere else? Poor kid spent weeks making his map. His friends are still able to play on his map but he always respawns in an endless world. Help please :-)
He can get a friend to get a bow and arrows and get up there(I don't remember exactly how) and the guy with the arrows can shoot into the air to kill everyone.

His friends are unable to find him on the map. When they go to the exact spot that he died, he is nowhere to be found. I really am becoming convinced that he is respawning in the wall...

He's above the Nether.
If I remember correctly you get up there by logging out in the Nether and the game thinking your above the bedrock ceiling.
Have your son go to one corner of the Nether. Just make him talk until he hits a corner and can't go any farther(it should be an invisible one). Then get one of this friends with a bow and a LOT of arrows to get up there(log out in the Nether and log back in. Should put him up there. If not try again.. And again.. And maybe again..). Then make them walk to all four corners until they find each other, the guy that isn't your kid can kill your kid, then the guy can kill himself by shooting arrows into the air and letting them fall on him.
Alternatively your kid can wait however long it will be until the Adventure Update comes out that adds hunger. Then your son can starve to death. Neither options are all that great. But getting someone else up there will be a hell of a lot quicker then waiting for hunger to be added.

Maybe you can use a guest account or a throw away XBL tag (just create a new one at the sign in screen) to join as a second player in splitscreen and kill him.
You need to get tp him to another player so if I was player with command It would be /tp Son's Name tpers name and then He will be tped back to where the other person is standing
..... this is the Xbox version. That's not possible.
He is respawning on top of the nether in the void. It happens when you save in the nether. It is a bug that should be fixed with the next update, but unfortunately there is no way to get out right now. You would either need someone else to glitch themself up there and kill each other at the exact same time or wait for the update.
Sounds to me like he's screwed...So sad. Weeks spent making a map that he can no longer enjoy...I think we'll see if his friend can find him and kill him. Thank you everyone for the info !!!
Easy peasy just tell your son to do /op (his name) on the command cenre or if it's not your son, tell his friend to do that and then tell your son to do the command in game /tp (son's name)(friend's name). If that doesn't work I don't know what will. Hope it works!
Its the 360. It doesn't have a command prompt
Edit: For the record. The solution of getting someone else up there to kill both of them works. Your kid doesn't actually have to wait until the update to kill himself.

Skimming through responses until I hit this. Made me laugh. On topic, I'm sort of impressed with all of the creative solutions so many have offered. Then again I'm brand new to minecraft, so this is all probably very dull and snooze-worthy to most of you.

ummm, you can't teleport in the Xbox version, are you confused?
