I have a pretty nice world. My friend and I are in the process of building a big fort but it's been awhile since we worked on it...but i really would love to make (or atleast compete) in a hunger games map. Those seem very interesting. Anyway what are some cool things you have built or plan on building?
A 205x90x30 city with the walls and ceilings of stone and the streets of gravel. Up to16x16 empty properties/buildings where the 5x5 roads are not. Still a work in progress: all work done by myself.
The thing I'm most proud of is my 200x8x3 mushroom farm. It takes like 15 minutes to harvest But at least I'll never run out of soup! I'd expand it, but there's no point, because crops don't grow if you're more than 124 blocks away from them, so unless I'm standing in the middle of my mushroom tunnel, all the mushrooms don't grow =(
Another thing I'm proud of is my giant flaming Netherrack man I erected out of the sea. You can walk up his leg, and then climb a ladder up his torso into his head, where he has glass for his eyes and mouth, with flames behind the glass so he smiles demonically at you while you boat across the ocean up to him. The floor is glass, and there's lava under the glass.

That's funny. I forgot how well the mushrooms grow in this version! I put some in the top floor of my house and they're actually growing down the stairs (?!). I thought they could only grow horizontal or up for some reason.....
It's not so efficient in this version, but have you tried water farming? You have to manually use a bucket in this version.

I use water farming for my wheat. For the mushroom farm, since mushroom growth isn't very restricted yet, I use two rows of mushrooms (one brown, one red). The rows are two blocks apart, and each mushroom in each row is two blocks from the last. This way, each seed mushroom has enough room to grow one mushroom in each of the eight adjacent spaces. I'd rather not use water farming, because then I'd have to replant the seed mushrooms...
I forgot to mention, I have a mine cart system in the tunnel, so after I harvest the mushrooms, I don't have to walk all the way back to the entrance lol

I've built a lot of strange houses with weird forms. I don't really plan before I build because new ideas come up to me when I'm building my houses. I can't describe my buildings but they do look really cool. I'll make some pics today.
Anyway, the only plans I have is not building normal n00b houses. PS: Square houses are ****.
I'm going to build a ship soon(I've built one before so there is no planning needed). :>

Im planing to make an airship in the sky (still work in progress) but my friend helps me to build and when we have a small pause we destroy things around
