I found a dungeon with a zombie spawner. I killed the zombies, and put torches on the spawner. I then explored all surrounding caves, clearing out all the mobs and placing torches everywhere to prevent anything from spawning.
I then removed the torches from the spawner, but nothing will come out of it... There is no light source in the dungeon, the mobs have plenty of room to spawn, and there are no hostile mobs in the nearby caves or on the surface, so...

Why isn't the spawner working?
Nope, I promise. Besides, at night, mobs still spawn outside, so... it has to still be on Normal
is there water in the spawner? are you literally on top of the spawner?
The spawner room is completely empty. I've tried standing near it, standing far away from it, everything... it's like it's broken.
