Will mods and texture packs be implemented into the 360 version of minecraft? And when? If there has been a topic about this already, sorry, im just very exicted to see mods in the 360 version.
Nahh they said they will too many people would be upset if they didn't.
So? People will get over it soon enough. I mean let's be honest even if they didn't add mods I'm sure they wouldn't lose that many players. Microsoft is really picky about things like this...hell they barely got free title updates. Anyways DLC and updates can wait since they have bigger problems at the moment like games freezing during the saving process...
Who knows maybe they will, but it'll take a while
and they'll probably lose a bunch of users to be honest. I already know some people that quit and went back to PC
Mods, probably never given Microsoft's policy on the matter, Textures and skins, TBA
Mods in a traditional sense, no. However they can take the most popular mods, recode them (with the creator's permission, of course) and redistribute them as DLC. That is definitely within the guidelines of Microsoft's policies.

Why would anyone consider giving up the PC version for the Xbox version anyways? Thats idiotic to ever think that it would amount to anything close to it lol....you'd have to be an genuine idiot to just outright stop playing PC just because an xbox port came out. Especially if you wasted your money for it. I bought it because i'm not able to always use the computer I can actually run Minecraft on w/no problems. The current one i'm using now cant handle Minecraft(oh the irony).

Perhaps for the smoothness of gameplay? Not everybody's PC can run minecraft at 60 FPS like the xbox can. I, for one, don't play minecraft on my laptop because it can not handle it well enough to make it an enjoyable game. Just a thought.

Egh I know a "Mod like" thing for all games-not only minecraft. And you can turn any item you want lets says sand to diamond and put the amount you want. But you need to move the world on the usb cable and on the computer and etc.
Probably soon, i won't doubt that the mods are going to cost microsoft points though .. Maybe im not sure .
i agree. what will be good though is it will all be made by 4J. so, mods will be a lot cleaner and way more stable. (more like add-ons or expansion packs).

I am the Vonzilla, rogue enderman, destined to walk the Overworld forever...
Does anyone read the thread at the top? Mods will not be added due to microsofts rules or something and all posts about mods for Xbox will
be taken down, and texture packs will get added as DLC but they will cost us a bit!
That doesn't mean that current PC mods won't be adopted as DLC for the XBL version (which is perfectly within rules and regulations of Microsoft), which for our intents and purposes would be mods (albeit paid mods).
