So, with the cobble stone slabs, you use a pickaxe to destroy it faster then other tools.
With wooden slabs, it takes for ever with an axe, but like instant with a pickaxe -> wtf?

I could go into deatail and explain why wood slabs need a pickaxe to mine, but I don't want to type that much. Suffice it to say that wood slabs are just retextured stone slabs. That was changed in one of the newest PC updates. They are now wood, they burn, and they can be mined with an axe. Eventually, that will come to the Xbox.
Oh how I love Minecraft on 360, its like a trip into Minecraft past. It will be fixed, probably not next update or the update after that, but in time it will be fixed.
