so i'm new to minecraft, very new actually. i've purchased the xbla version and i have to say i like it. i like it so much that im considering buying the pc version. but before i shell out close to 30$ on top of the 20$ i spent already, i was wondering if anyone could provide a reasonable arguement either for or against this.
Yea I would also like to know after playing Minecraft first time on xbox and got addicted.
Thinking of getting on PC because the xbox, the creator/host has to be online for friends to continue to build. But with PC I'm worried if more hacking and cheating?
Well graphically minecraft would run way better on a pc along with much more stuff exept no split screen so i really do suggest buying it... along with huge multiplayer servers
Minecraft pc currently has wayyy more features, but not for long, the xbox version will eventually catch up.
The current xbox version is beta 1.6.6 and the pc is at official release 1.2.5
pc has pistons, new lighting, much largers biomes, golems, jungles and much more.
I would see how good of a computer you have first though, I play the xbox version now only becuase my computer doesn't run minecraft pc very well.
the pc i run wouldn't have an issue running MC, so thats not an issue. and also considering i can use a wired xbox controller to play on the pc, i'll prob go that route. my main interest is to just build **** but i was wondering: if i built something amazing, how cn i share it with others? also, how could i keep people from altering my original copy of a world? for example: i build an awesome castle, how do i keep others from destroying it?

You can create a single player world and work on it like that until it's finished, then there's a way to take that map and use it on a server but I'm not completely sure how. And running a server on the pc is much more difficult than the xbox.

1. Download server from minecraft.net
2. Take said world, replace it with randomly generated world server makes when you first run it.
3. ???
4. Profit.

Oh I don't know unless you have a really good computer your framerate will drop dramatically. Don't judge the game by the graphics. I only play Xbox because
1. Easier to create servers
2. Splitscreen (is a pain)
3. My computer f***ing sucks.
4. You get the picture
