Bigger slimes are supposed to break into smaller ones which then drop slimeball, but both (biggest size) slimes I've found and killed just died and disappeared instead. Anyone else having this problem?

Have you tried killing a bigger one with a sword and it just died?

fists split to 4 then 8
same as bow
wood sword spits to 4 then 8
rock splits to 2
iron kills instently same as dimond

Well I used a rock sword on the 2 of largest slimes and they didn't split at all

According to the wiki they spawn up to layer 40

Overkill damage will prevent them from splitting until a later update doesn't it?
