My only problem is when they walk up behind me, I can't hear them at all. And as soon as I hear the "hssss" sound its wayy to late to do anything, It's like they insta blow up. I feel on the PC version I can hear that sound and still get away.
I've sat on top of a ladder over a MineCraft night to see where creepers were spawning - I was also having some 6 show up at my front door. It's pretty easy to see where they're spawning in and go light the area up.
I have never had an instance where one just exploded behind me without making the classic SSsssSSSssSsss.
If you can't hear them and you can't figure out where they're spawning in.... go make a moat around your house. Or just dig a 2 deep ditch. Look in the ditch each morning and remove them for the gunpowder.
If you're having trouble with them in mines.... just run through the mine as fast as possible putting torches up everywhere. Then leave. When you return there will be no more monsters since the existing ones will de-spawn and new ones can't spawn in the light.
Only certain people see it as a "problem". I don't find it a problem at all considering Creepers are extremely easy to kill if you know what you're doing.
now imagine 4 creepers staring at you from your window on hard mode
Sorry, I forgot to mention that it's OK to disagree, just some people that disagree start saying things like "you suck" or "your stupid" and things like that.
1. If this is such an issue (which it shouldn't be) Select Peaceful mode and play on that for a few hours maybe a day until you are confident you can deal with mobs.
2. audio sync wasn't my comment, i'm saying there not overpowered, everything is, its NOT the PC version lol...deal with it, its not hard, try and play dark souls.
I play on normal and creepers are no problem as long as you eather use alot of torches or constantly watch your back. Altough everyone I play with is constantly exploding. Three arrows and one slap with my sword does the trick.
I don't see Creepers as a problem. If you carry a Diamond sword with you at all times you can make short work of the hideous green beasts in just two hits.
In short; The more Creepers that spawn, the more gun powder I receive.
Creepers sometimes explode before you even have a chance to hit them, then't even have an explosion cool down even though your 10 blocks away from them

The reason creepers are harder is because of that stupid hit lag the xbox version has when attacking things, even offline. That is why the bow is recommended.
Creepers seem broken. I've never once been able to cancel their explosion by backing off. As soon as they start to hiss they WILL explode -- you can't cancel the hiss. Therefore I haven't been able to kill one with a sword, and I've never picked up gunpowder from them. They always explode. It could be me playing bad, though.
The worse problem is that creepers have made me jump out of my skin by exploding right behind me without a hiss sound. Now, I'm going to sound like a huge *****, but I can't handle that. Loud random jump scares are not acceptable to me. I put the game on Peaceful for a while, which is annoying because I can handle combat just fine. I'm happy to have a fair fight with the hostile mobs. But I can't afford the heart attack when a sudden loud boom goes off without warning. The hiss should be the warning, but it's not there sometimes.
I had the whole creeper issue when I started playing the xbox version. Now I've adapted to how they act, and can handle them with ease. I haven't had the audio problem yet though >___>
Not really true they explode at a max of 5-6 block aways and only if you are not moving, on normal i found a max of a group of four elements and with a stone sword i not have all this problem usually i lose a max of three hearts if i not loose the right timing
The only bug i see is they not have sound the most of the time , the hit detection is always perfect.
They don't cancel out the explosion, so if you entered the "danger zone" just for one second, they blow up.

Peaceful is for noobswell it wasn't suppossed to be though, it was supposed to be a topic disscussing the problems of the creepers on the Xbox version.
And yesh, I agree that 75% of the time they don't make a noise at times.
But heck, that was how they were in 1.6.6...
Think my post is helpfull, hillarious or just plain likeable? Freaking hit the green UP arrow down there, or else.
Minecraft makes you lose weight if you post in forums and literally shake with anger when someone posts something stupid.
Well if youre that afraid stay inside and enjoy the daytime while it lasts
