Yes, Creepers, the most iconic mob in Minecraft. Everyone loves them on the PC version! ( I hope) Not so much on the XBLA version. Before you start trolling saying that they are fine the way it is before you even start reading this, I will give you reasons why.
We all know that Creepers make a hissing sound right before they explode right? Not so much on the Xbox. They actually do make a hissing sound but the problem is they won't do it 100% of the time, this led to walls of houses destroyed, ugly craters all over my world etc. It isn't just the audio sync that is the problem, but creepers are supposed to have a one second timer before exploding, but this isn't so in the XBLA version. (This is probably caused by lag issues)
Some other problems I also experienced were that creepers seem to be spawning in groups, This was a problem as they were spawning right outside my house, and since mobs could see through glass in the XBLA version, you could can sort of figure out the problem here. The largest creeper pod I ever saw was 4 creepers! Imagine that blowing up one by one right outside your home!
Finally, Creepers seem to explode even though you weren't as near them compared to the PC version. You could hit them with your sword to knock them back, but will still explode even though they were clearly atleast about 5 blocks away from you.
I am not saying that they should remove the creepers, as that will be trolling on my side. I am saying they should fix audio sync and spawning issues with the creepers. (and other mobs too) Until then, have fun with minecraft!
My very first morning after my very first night in my very first game, I had 6 creepers gathered around outside my little house. After they blew up, I ran into 4 more within 5 minutes! Just outside, not in a cave or anything! I almost gave up on the game, thinking that was normal. Too much. Too many creepers for one little map, lol
Remember your complaining about making the game easier...thanks kid,
Easy mode shouldn't just decrease the damage that gets done to you it should also decrease the rate at which stuff spawns. Not so much that you just can't find anything but enough so where I don't get constantly gangbanged by creepers as soon as I climb down the ladder to my treehouse. Its simply too much. And it should also decrease the distance at which they creeper needs to be to you in order to explode. You can knock a creeper back and be 10 feet away and it will explode. Thats just not right. I think its more of an issue with the difficulty settings than the actual game itself. What hes describing seems normal on hard, maybe even normal but not on easy. Easy is for people who like monsters, and like monster drops but just don't like an incredible challenge. Not hating, just saying.

I can't figure out how to do the achievement get thing, so.... yeah
The spawn rate and damage done are the exact same they were in 1.6.6 for the PC. It has been dumbed down since then on the PC so the same will happen as updates trickle out for the Xbox.
I don't see Creepers as a problem. If you carry a Diamond sword with you at all times you can make short work of the hideous green beasts in just two hits.
In short; The more Creepers that spawn, the more gun powder I receive.
Guys there isalso another problem with them. They explode even if your like 6 blocks away. They don't do the cool down think as much as in the pc so you have to be like 50 ft away
my only complaints is they lag so bad when playing with alot of people(or 1 of your friends has a **** connection that lags everyone lol) they tend to explode with no notice, but this is a lag issue, not the creeper, cant have minecraft without creepers!
I've found that you can defend from a single creeper quite well with a sword if you aim at it and back up at half-speed, while hitting the right trigger as rapidly as possible. Then, as soon as you hit it, back up at full speed. You have little to no room for error, though...
Another problem is how some of them don't hiss. I'll be walking across the open field in front of my house, and I'll see a creeper off in the distance to my right. So after checking around me for other mobs, I'll turn to my right, and BOOOM, I get exploded from behind. I mean, I just checked there! I didn't see anything. And it didn't even hiss. Part of my thinks that some creepers are invisible.
Exactly what I thought, people are trolling and flaming saying I suck, Guess what, not everyone is a OMFG 123 ninja monkey monkey world at warcraft addict, not everyone has diamond armor and stuff like that. This won't make the game easier, it will fix the creeper. The spawn rate is huge, I could see atleast 3 creepers at a time heading straight towards me almost an every few minutes. Creepers explode even though they are clearly 5 blocks away from you. If you can't agree and start crying like a little "kid" i suggest leaving this forum. I'm not saying it's bad to disagree, but just don't cry about it.

your still complaining about making the game easier lol...if you cant deal with 3-4 creepers then you suck
Learn to read properly please. He seemed to be asking for an audio sync. and for the creepers to act with the same speed as they do now. With your logic, if Minecraft started with you spawning around 15 zombies around you in a circle, and someone suggested that might not be totally necessarily, we should say "but dat would make da game too easy!" Creepers are a bit too tough (at least for flipping easy mode) and should be scaled down, especially considering how awkward it can be playing Minecraft on the Xbox.

so it was a problem on the PC version back then, thanks for the info!

Only certain people see it as a "problem". I don't find it a problem at all considering Creepers are extremely easy to kill if you know what you're doing.
the problem is that you see creepers near your house you have a diamond sword you hit them then explode even if you 6 or 5 blocks away from them. This should be fixed in the update. I want the update! Please notch! Some bug in Mine craft are appearing to me. Like when I hit any mob except Passive they're like they don't receive any damage they're getting hurt but they don't make the sound like the sound of the zombie, skeleton, spiders or creepers. You just see they're getting hurt without making any noise this bug is just pissing me off.

Yes, because everyone has a diamond sword.
But in all seriousness, most of the time they explode even when they should be out of range giving you no time to hit them more than once. And not everyone likes a big challenge which is why they play on easy. I shouldn't have to spend an entire day (Minecraft time) killing the creepers that are running around near my house.
Aside from the creeper that somehow made it into my first floor and blew up right when he saw me with no fuse or sound what so ever, I've had little to no problems. Diamond swords makes quick and easy work of them. And there's really no reason NOT to have a Diamond sword laying around tbh. 2 Diamonds are not that hard to find and they last for like 1500 hits IIRC. I'm still using mine from a week ago lol.

What the heck does that mean?
So they do make a hiss noise, but they don't make a hiss noise 100% of the time?

ragnarock200: awesome, are those things with the creeper faces pistons or furnaces
Snowey1994: There dispensers
I completely agree with you.
I have also noticed that the damage radius seems to be bigger than the actual blast radius...
Compared to the PC version that is.

So not agreeing with you makes someone a troll ?
