So... he says he knows how to do it, and no discs dropped.
In which case, idk what to say man. I trapped 2 creepers that already had 4 arrows in them, found a skeleton, and got 2 discs. I think its (at least supposed to be) 100% drop rate. Try saving and leaving the world then coming back and trying again?
I personally have 5 so far. All cat disk's though. I did have the other but i forgot to save. I usually attempt it when the odds are 2 skeletons to a creeper, just bring alot of food.
Well, I literally JUST got a skeleton to kill 2 creepers (and a zombie and another skeleton.. EPICNESS lol) and they blew up and killed the skeletons and I collected EVERY thing that was dropped and have yet to get a disc.... Shoot me a friend request and we can try together?

The creeper can't explode to get the disc. The creeper has to fall to the ground dead and you will see a record drop, either Cat or 13. It is a 100% drop rate.
AHA! I didn't know they couldn't explode... how do you accomplish this feat then? I've heard use an iron sword and hit the creeper 3 times, but they always blow up before a 3rd or 2nd hit, and I haven't tried the 4 arrows yet, but I'm going to soon.

Just found a sick spot while caving. Found a 1x1x1 hole in the wall connecting to another cave that had a creeper and a skeleton inside. Managed to position the creeper right by the hole and got the skeleton behind him to shoot him with about 40 arrows....

Get a Bow with around 20+ arrows (just in case you fail) and shoot a Creeper 4 times, then have it follow you until you come across a Skeleton and try to get the Creeper in between you and the Skeleton, once the Skeleton hits the Creeper you should have either Cat or 13.
lol Thanks everyone, especially Chewy! I didn't know the creeper couldn't explode, so yeah, I was doing it wrong. xD I got both "13" and "cat" and even though I'm metal and hard rock till death, I'm jamming out to "cat" right now
