All im asking is not to get ride of it. if people dont want unlimited stuff then dont do the glitch its kind of like creative mode yet not at the same time. Its become fun just to build and not stress out about gathering materials. When creative comes please make an option to turn creative on in a world I dont want to start a new world.
Seems pretty stupid to get rid of it since the PC can DL mods to give them as much of any block. It's also useful for dup'ing moss stone, since we only have a very limited amount of dungeons on the console version. Guess I'm gonna have to stock up on that.
That could take months... (Creative was in 1.8, MCX360 is in 1.6), it's simpler to make a sort of "Sub-Creative" server using the dupe glitch while you still can.
Key words, "while you still can".
Everyone who likes the duping glitch can use it to their hearts content right now. They just need to know that it is going ot be gone in the next update.
As much as you love it and exploit it, in the end it's a glitch and glitches need to and will be ironed out. That's all there is to it. The next update will patch it, so do what you will with it until then. Asking to not get rid of it is pointless, it's inevitable.
Hope you guys know that the worlds you are working on won't be compatible with the Adventure update. So no point in saving your resources, as someone suggested. You will have to start fresh when the time comes
The duplication glitch defeats the purpose of the "survival" type feel to the game. Besides, I'm sure they will add creative mode later on, where you will have unlimited of all blocks
Hmm, sometimes duped stuff will disappear when you quick-move the stacks around... makes me wonder if those duped items will vanish when the patch comes...

Where'd you get that from? Old worlds were still compatible on the PC version, only difference is you'd get large, ugly borders between terrain generated pre- and post-patch. Make sure you explore your entire world pre-patch and that won't be a problem.

If you explore your entire map before the next update, you won't get any of the different terrain generation. Anything that has to do with the world generating will have to be done in a new map if you've explored your world fully.
Of course worlds will be compatible with shears and pistons.
Trust me, you don't want new terrain on an existing world. You'll end up with big chunk errors all around the map, where mountains are sliced down the middle, and land suddenly gives way to ocean like a huge earthquake has occurred. Better to explore every part of your world (generate every chunk) so this doesn't happen.
There are some things you can't avoid on old worlds, like biomes being shuffled around, but that's not a huge deal. Just means the colour of grass and possibly the weather will change in parts of your world.
Technical expliot lead to a technical ban? This type of stuff does violate the code of conduct, though it seems no one really realize's this then complains when they finally do get reported..
Personally I told anyone on my server that they would be banned for duping, though recently I did consider doing it for the sole reason of using a bug to beat a bug, and that is the broken clay generation in the maps. In the end I figured I would just wait for the update after that which will fix it, though I was tempted. Would be nice to see them chuck in the clay generation fix in the bug fix.
I do feel bad for people who want creative, it isn't my cup of tea, but each to their own and I know I would be gutted if the game only had creative and no survival for a while.
I seem to recall 4JStu stating that they were looking to bring some fixes and additional content from 1.8, forward to the 1.7.3 patch. I don't know if clay is one of them, but if they are going to bring features and updates forward from later releases, and given the overt level of complaints about the clay issue, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Clay was fixed in 1.7, so there is no problem there.
And this type of stuff is also undetectable. Do you honestly think anyone is going to be monitoring the inventories of all players...
Um, it's not undetectable actually. Minecraft has stat recording for the leaderboard. When someone sees that a person has like 1 million diamonds or something, I'm sure they'll catch on.

At least you will still be able to load up old world saves.
