I still have yet to play online with anyone... but then I've only been a Minecraftsman since last weekend. But I have a few questions....
1.) It seems I can hit select to invite others to play with me, But I only see my name up there. If I have online friends who have Minecraft, do they need to be in the game before I can send the invite?
2.) People are talking about setting up servers. Maybe I'm missing something but... what servers? There's just Xbox Live connections as far as I can tell, you can't set up servers. Or can you?
3.) Lets say I bring on Jackanapes P Dumbjerk against my better judgement. He begins to destroy all of the structures I built in Dragonia. Can I boot him and then reload my last saved game to undo his damage?
4.) In fact, I assume anything built by a visitor is saved next time I save the game?
5.) Do new visitors spawn in my vicinity or is it random?
6.) I assume there's no "private" chests. Anything they find is up for grabs?
7.) Can we attack each other? Can our wolves?
8.) Can we push each other by running into them?
9.) Are we notified when they drop?
10.) Can they also invite people into this world, even if they aren't hosting?
1. No, hit X when in that small menu to bring up your friends
2. You cannot set up servers
3. Yes, save before you invite people (learned this teh hard way)
4. Yes
5. They spawn at the world spawn
6. Yep
7. Yes, Pvp is enabled
8. Wierd question, but no
9. Idk what you mean, if you mean when they die, no.
10. If you invite someone, YOU are the host.

Some clarifications...
8. Heh, I meant if I happened to be mining obsidian right next to some lava, and someone could run up behind me an bump me in. Glad to hear they can't do that.
9. I meant when they lose connection or quit your game.
You should be able to use the normal XBL invites at any time after you've entered your game. If you didn't make the game as Offline or Invite Only then they should be able to see your game on their "Play Game" menu with your gamertag and can join that way or by using the "join game in session" XBL feature.
If someone bashed up your game you can definitely "Exit without saving". If they managed to do something nasty that you didn't notice (like flood your house with water or surround the whole thing with obsidian)..... you're stuck dealing with that. Be careful who you invite.
You'll see the text, "Soandso has joined the game" and "Soandso has left the game" when they join/leave. That might not be the exact wording, but you get the idea....
I don't think the dogs will attack other players. One player causing a mob to aggro will also make that mob aggro to the other player.
You can push each other. Not like the PC version sprint, but you can get in the way and cause someone to take a nasty fall.
On a side note, a question you didn't ask was regards to their personal inventory. Players save with their inventory, so if you only plan to have someone else help temporarily and they're holding all your diamonds..... make sure they drop them (or you can kill them) before they leave.
