I've made comments about save games being corrupt last week on here. I went about 5 days with no problems and all of a sudden...My problem is back. It locks up when it gets to the loading spawn area and initialiing servier. So I've just lost about 40 hours on this map, not counting the other 3 maps I lost last week. I had some pretty neat stuff built on this one.
It's sad because I really thought alot of this game. I just can't see any point in continuing to play until they figure out what is going on with the saved games locking up. I just read a post the other day where this guy lost about 100 hours worth of building. It's not fun or enjoyable at all if you can't reload your saved games.
Good luck to ya'll and I hope this is fixed pretty quickly.
This has only happened to me once. My very first map. Don't throw away all your hard work. Keep the saves & hopefully when the next patch comes out, this problem will have been fixed.
Sorry to hear about your run of bad luck with MCX360.
I don't know if it's possible, but it would be nice to see multiple saves per world - 1 to prevent folk from losing everything if a game save crashes, 2 so you can look back over your progress (this last one may only actually appeal to me...)
If you read the bug thread you'll see that there is a bug with 'save and quit' right now so don't use it.
Do a normal 'save' then exit the game.
Hmm, I've been using "save and quit" because when I would save then use "quit without saving" it would freeze my xbox. Haven't had any problems so far but it's good to know.
Actually, cloud storage might be part of the problem, I would recommend a flash drive, if you don't have one, a 2 gig is pretty cheap.
Clmorning, go post specifics about this problem on the bug thread, I have been tracking aspects of the corruption issue on that thread, and since 4J is using it as well, it would be better to post it there. By specifics I mean what you were doing when you saved, and quit the game, did you manually save, and then exit via quit without saving, did it take an unusual amount of time to save, ect.
Thanks for the information. I have not given up, just a little bummed out. I guess I could look at it this way. With having to start over with new worlds all the time, this is just practice for my building skills. Then when they do fix the save issue, I can build until I turn blue in the face. HAHAH. Overall, 4J has a damn good product that is going to last for many many years to come. There is so much they could do with this game. Till next time.........
Hi, saved worlds becoming corrupted and unloadable is a known severe issue with the game right now. The best steps you can take to avoid it are to never use the save + Quit option, simply saving normally and quiting without saving, and to also avoid using cloud storage to store your save. Right now it is best to stay on the safe side, and always use the Xbox's HD because there have been a few suggestions that cloud storage is one of the reasons behind saves messing up.
obviously this can't guarantee it still wont happen but 4J are aware of the bug ,
If I only visited this forum before...I'm so mad for losing my map to a bug.

No no no no, don't do that! There is no autosave, you will lose your work if you do that. You have to push save game and then exit.
Save backups to cloud storage.
