Can you not damage a mob by hitting them in the feet/legs? It doesn't seem to do any damage when I've tried it. If not I have to rebuild my spawn trap.
I cant kill a mob if im underneath them no.If i hit them below the chest they go red but take zero damage
That's what I've been noticing. I mean it doesn't really matter if i can kill the ones in my spawn trap that way because exp hasn't been added yet but I'd like to have it ready when the time comes. But it would be really helpful against creepers if i could hit their feet and them not see me.
If they are walking into a wall, they take no damage... its really annoying. So if you are 1 block underneath and they are trying to attack you then you will do 0 damage to them, and your sword still takes damage.

Well their not walking around trying to hit me their standing still or turning in circles and I still can't hit their feet

only way i've been able to kill anything is by hitting on or around the torso.
