So I started playing minecraft today and played for around half an hour and decided to watch some tv, so was just watching and I start seeing stuff that should'nt be on the screen I figure something might wrong with my cable so I reset it and I get an all white screen and what do I see? My entire Health bar and inventory screen was burned into my LCD tv and before you ask this is not an old tv this is a very new one so I was shocked I never left my screen on the inventory bar or the main screen for a great deal of time so I Turned my tv off and waited for six hours went to check if it is gone yet and to my shock it is still on the screen so I want to know if anyone else has had a problem with this and if so please mojang fix this issue.
iv yet to have that happen and i play games for hours tho i use an old tv so that may be why it dont happen to me this is the first time iv heard of this happen to someone also
This also happens to my TV to. It goes away eventually but if you go play some more Minecraft, of course it will reappear. It does take some time to go away though, maybe about 6+ hours depending on what kind of TV your using.
Seeing how new this account is and the fact that he said lcd tv makes me suspicious. We attacked the other poster who had a plasma screen tv which is what we used against him and everybody basically told him to shut up.
Not saying your him, this just looks suspicious to me haha

You told him to shut up for wanting to know what was wrong with it? and the reason the account is new is because I made it yesterday so that could get 16 people into my server just never got around to it today because I was scared to attempt to play minecraft and damage it further then it already is.
Yeah, my TV is bad for this too. It's a 46' Panasonic Viera, & it's becoming old. My burn-in usually clears up in 30 minutes to an hour.
Try leaving your TV on a black/blue screen for an hour or two. I've also heard leaving a completely blank white picture on your screen removes burn-in. Transfer a blank white picture from your computer & leave it up on the screen for an hour or two.
most modern games have a lot of cut scenes and such to prevent this, since all it takes is a few seconds at a time removing a static image to prevent burn in. i suppose minecraft doesnt... dont you ever pause it though?!
that has nothing to do with the game, you just have a shitty tv.
So then the other people who have had this problem have bad tvs? Oh and before you spew ignorance at me maybe ask what type of tv I have and then you will know why it should never happen.

Yes I did I saved every ten minutes I open the menu and forge screen a great deal.
So then the five other people who have had this problem have bad tvs? Oh and before you spew ignorance at me maybe ask what type of tv I have and then you will know why it would never happen.
I'm not the one spewing ignorance here, you're spewing it all over yourself you tard. Clearly it can't never happen because it happened, and after 30 minutes? You're either lying to us about something, or your tv sucks massive dong. And yes, it just so happens that FIVE people out of the 1,000,000+ that have the game can have incredibly shitty tv's. Do you even realize what you're saying?

First watch your mouth I did nothing to make you hostile and the second you entered into this thread you have been a complete *****. Second of all do you know how simple and cheap most of the tvs are today? I highly doubt they all have lower tech tvs and even if they have a tv from 2005 it still should'nt happen And third think what ever you want about me being on for more 30 minutes I'm not going to sit here and waste my time insulting you. I came here for a one simple thing to know if other people had problems with burns and now I know and I want to know if it's a large number of people not to be insulted by you.

Telling you that it isn't the game's fault, it's your tv's isn't being a complete *****. I mean sure, there might've been a nicer way to put it other than "you have a shitty tv," but you didn't ask me to be nicer, you refuted me, and told me "not to spew ignorance" when you're the only ignorant one here and all I did was correct your post. You asked Mojang to fix the issue and it has nothing to do with the game.
Going over everything you've posted, there is no way in hell a picture should've been burned into your tv unless you have the absolute lowest of the low piece of crap tv. You said you played for 30 minutes AND you saved every 10 minutes AND you paused/opened inventory/crafted relatively frequently. That's less than 10 minutes of the same picture on the screen continually so you're either lying to all of us or... well.. lying to all of us. At the most, assuming you're not lying to us, you would've got very VERY little screen retention.
